This company is so awful...I couldn't even get a reservation because the receptionist was the most rude person ever! I simply asked for the cost of the ride I was booking and she yelled at me saying..."you should have asked at the beginning of all this!!!" Don't bother with Farwest!

I took this cab home on a Friday night. The cab driver did not know where he was going. When we got to my apartment, I was paying with a credit card and as I was signing the receipt he put his hand on my leg and suggested we should go out sometime. I was so freaked out that I jumped out of the cab and left my credit card with the driver. The next morning I discovered $2000 if fraudulent charges. Seems like a scam of a taxi company.

How can we expect people to use public transportation when you can't even get a cab? I took my 3 and 4 year old Granddaughters for a stroll along Alki on Sunday afternoon. We are having a lot of fun and get over 2 miles away from the car. Of course the 3 year old is getting a little tired so we get a bite to eat and call a Farwest taxi. Farwest taxi dispatcher tells me there will be a 20 minute wait, no problem. After 30 minutes I call back and the dispatcher tells me 10 more minutes, no problem. After 55 minutes go by I call Farwest taxi the dispatcher tells me that there is no cab coming because there is no cab in the area. This is not the first time Farwest taxi has been this way. With the lack of any respect for the citizens of this beautiful city I really don't know how they even stay in business. Sincerely Michael Larry Boone Sr.

I've used FarWest for several years now, and the service has continuously slid downhill. Of late, it's gotten even worse - to the point where the taxis no longer even bother to show up. I'm a consciencious tipper, probably to the point of excess. Three years of retail, fast food, and waitressing will do that to you. So unless drivers these days expect greater than 40% tip on each ride, I don't think my number has been blacklisted. The last two attempts to get a cab with this company haven't worked - they simply have not shown up. The latest incident was only an hour ago. I called for a cab, and was told 5-10 minutes. When nobody had arrived within thirty, I called back. This time, I was told they hadn't "matched a cab" with me yet, and I should call back in 5 minutes for an estimate. I should have told them to drop it then and there - I mean, that's pretty unacceptable customer service. I waited another thirty, called back, and told them to forget it. They immediately hung up on me. I read these types of stories and they all sound exaggerated... I'm really disappointed. I wish I were exaggerating. It's 4:31 right now, and I have a phone record of my first call from 3:21.
Pros: None.
Cons: They don't even bother to show up anymore.

Farwest Taxi nearly caused me to miss my flight--and I only made it because my flight was delayed. After calling three times they still failed to show up and I ultimately had to take my own car to the airport and pay for long term parking. When I returned I tried to speak to the manager over the next two weeks but was diverted to his voicemail three separate times and never got a call back. Finally I got a hold of their superintendent, "Manny", who repeatedly interrupted me when I tried to explain the situation. After asking him to stop interrupting he called ME rude and hung up. Just avoid these guys. It'll be faster and less aggrivation if you walk.

Ive used Far west on many different occasions, and each time was bad, Tonite was my last time. Service is extremely rude! I had one time, 2 female taxi drivers pick me up, 35 minutes late, because they "got lost", they didn't appologize or anything, and then started Blasting music, had me tell them what free way was what, because they said they "didnt know theyre way around town",Then they wanted me to pay for what it took them to get to my house. HA! no way. Then tonite, i called for a taxi, and He calls me, telling me "im outside!!!" and hung up right away. he calls me back not even a minute later, not giving me any time to even walk to the door, and tells me " your not coming or what??! because im leaving!!!!!!" i tell him, hold on one second i'll be out, then he starts arguing with me telling me he will charge me extra for going into apartments!",when i asked for his name, he replied " OH MY GOD! " and hung up! i called and complained, and the lady who answered the phone just started laughing and told me "i guess just call tomorrow " click. im done with farwest!

I called for a quote and was told it would be $30-35. They charged $57.00. Now they won't call me to discuss the issue. They said it could have been heavy traffic or alternate route issue. It was 1:00am on Monday and the alternate route was less the 2 blocks. Apparently two blocks costs you $22.00. Save yourself the stress!
Pros: All cons, wish I could say something good.
