Bad and Olson quoted my moving job at $90 an hour. When the final invoice was given to me at the end of the day, they charged me $135. I was given no verbal or written notice of the charge in rate, which made me very angry because the company had 3 opportunities (on the phone making arrangements for the move) to tell me before the job started. When I spoke with the owner of the company, Carl Compton, I was told that they did in fact tell me that they were increasing the job from two to three people, but I was not told that the rate would increase because I should have "figure that out on my own." Mr. Comptom was rude, and because he has "been in the business for 20 years" apparently he feels that he can speak to people in a condescending way. The customer is not "right" with Bader and Olson. In fact, the customer is treated poorly and expected to know all the ins and out of the moving business in order to figure out how B&O conducts business. When asked, Carl Compton did not deny that it is not his company's policy to accurately quote hourly rates. I can not warn people enough to not deal with this company.
Pros: none
Cons: Switch hourly rates without written or verbal notice
