Made the trip solely because of the fantastic reviews. Not completely disappointed, but this is not by a long shot the best BBQ I've ever had. The main question I had was - Where's the flavor? Watery sauce somewhat reminiscent of Carolina BBQ, sans vinegar. Decent heat, but other than that, sadly lacking. The side spiked hot links however were fantastic!
Pros: cheap, great service

I love Pecos Pit. I've been going for several years and Debra recognizes me on sight now. I get the pork medium hot with a spike. If you get it wrapped for dinner for an extra $.25, they separate bun, meat and sauce, which makes it nice if you only want to eat half for lunch and half for dinner. I normally get through 3/4 of a full sandwich before I'm totally stuffed. These folks have it down to a science, I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes, even with a line and an order of 6 sandwiches. I don't like sweet or vinegary barbecue, but Pecos' sauce is neither and is delicious. Try if if you haven't yet!
Pros: great food, friendly staff and FAST!
Cons: parking sometimes difficult, only outdoor seating

I've been coming here since 1992 and I still love eating a Hot Pecos Beef, side spiked w/ beans more than anything else I've ever had. It is just amazing food and I'm so glad we've had them here all this time. With warm, friendly owners too - Pecos Rules!! Also you can buy big packs to take home and have your own Pecos party. To the very few who have had negative things to say about Pecos you need to understand that there are many styles of BBQ out there. There is a big difference between not liking a particular style and doing a poor job representing that style. For what it's worth I've never heard a Texan tell me anything bad about Pecos. Texas is all about brisket and Pecos has got it down.
Pros: GREAT, BBQ, FRIENDLY
Cons: HOURS

This place is quite the find. Finally a hot sauce that's actually hot. My mouth was burning off and I was loving every minute of it. I'd definitely return to this Seattle lunchtime hotspot located just a few blocks south of Safeco Field and Qwest Field. I'd be the perfect dining option for a pre-matinee game. Lack of parking and long line was solved with quick, simple service. Outdoor seating was ample, but I can see how it poses a problem in the winter months. Make sure you get a hot link and baked beans with whatever sandwich you order. You won't regret it.
Pros: Great food, Cheap, Quick service
Cons: Only weekday lunch, Only outdoor seating, No parking

I have been called, at both AT&T Wireless and elsewhere (where I used to work) the guru of BBQ. I think I've tried most of them .. and many in Texas as well. Is there any doubt that Pecos Pit is the best west of the Pecos? You might have to wait, seating can be cold, but hot DANG! That Q is GOOO OOOD! Dony'all wish you could take some into the M's games on a nice July evening? LADIES! How 'bout it!?!
Pros: Inexpensive greatfood
Cons: Only lunch!, parking can be hard

Ordering at Pecos Pit They've only got ~ 5 items on the menu but they're all really good ... the best part about the experience (other than the food) is ordering ... did you ever see the Seinfeld episode with the soup Nazi? ... well there's a special way of ordering your food at Pecos too. To ensure that your order is fulfilled as efficiently and properly as possible, one should be prepared with "sandwich, sauce hotness level, quantity of sauce, sides, location of sides (if you're ordering a spicy sausage), & drink" in this order. My standard order is "Pecos beef (i.e. the shredded beef), hot sauce, sloppy, side spike, side of beans, and a Pepsi." What ever your order, you gotta say it fast because there's usually a fast moving lunch line that's all eager to get their grub.
Pros: Delicious Food, Super Fast Service, Inexpensive
Cons: , Challenge

I now live in OK, and let me tell you there is not a place in all of OK, that can come close to Pecos. Every time I come back home to seattle the first place after I leave the airport is to go to Pecos.... The best BBQ in the pacific northwest and Central USA.
Pros: great food, great prices, great people
Cons: , needed in OK

I live in Fairbanks Alaska area and for the past 20 years have made it a point to go to Pecos Pit. Quick, dependable quality and the best HOT sauce on meat anywhere. They should be ranked first in the Nation...not third in Seattle. VERY reasonable, fast service.
Pros: Inexpensive, High Quality Food, Quick Service Line
Cons: Occassionally needs m, Hours are too limited

There is nothing like taking a long lunch and driving to Pecos Pit from Bellevue in the spring or summer on a nice day. I love BBQ and they have the best quality meat available. The BBQ pork is the best. Also, for those on Atkins or the like, you can order the "dinner". They provide a healthy portion of meat, bun is separate so you can throw it away and a separate cup of BBQ sauce so you can put as much or as little as you want.
Pros: Excellent meat, Tasty suace, Inexpensive
Cons: Crowded, Outdoor dining, Limited hours
