I ate a Lago Azul a few weeks ago. The owners have changed, but the service and food are as good as ever. Lago Azul offers authentic Mexican cuisine and also a few American favorites. The atmosphere is cheerful, if a little worn. Food portions are large and reasonably priced. Good seafood! Watch out for the chips and salsa??????they're so good you??????ll be full before the meal arrives!

Fast service, great price

I've been coming to Lago Azul for many years now. Food has always been great, service as well (except for one time). MUCH better than the Burien Azteca's.

Better Luck at Taco Bell!

I was immediately treated like a second class consumer since I had a child, the waitress ignored simple requests and when she came to our table it was only to slam things down and make rude faces.

I ordered steak fajitas. The waitress put the sizzling plate in front of my son, the steak was covered in at least 50% fat, I had to ask for a steak knife to trim it off. When I asked for the knife the waitress again set the knife directly in front of my son. The next 10 minutes I pulled huge chunks of fat and muscle off of the meat.

The manager was considerate enough to comp the meal, but only after I showed him the plate full of fat and told him my experience (during which the waitress called me a liar in Spanish, assuming I didn't speak the language.)

A Great Place

This is my favorite restaurant! My family and friends dine here often and I have never had a bad experience. The owners and staff are friendly and professional. It is always clean and a not noisy place. My favorite meal is the Arroz Con Pollo - it is the best I ever had. I also often order a bowl of Sopa De Tortilla (tortilla soup) for my entree and it fills me up. We always feel like family when we arrive. Service is prompt and very accommodating. They are almost always able to seat a large party w/o a wait. I highly recommend Lago Azul. Although I have never sat in the bar - it looks like a perfect place to unwind - not too noisy and not too big.
