This place is great. Prompt seating and right on top of drinks as soon as we sit down. The waitstaff brought toys and crayons for my fussy baby girl and the food was plentiful, fast and hot and tasty. No complaints at all. If you want to play card or games at a restaurant's busiest times, go to Denny's where the food is nasty and the wait staff is worse. If you want good old fashioned breakfast with a smile eat at the Totem.

I'm LOLing at that other review. These Totem guys are pros. Even at the height of rush on a Saturday or Sunday morning (which I bet is when those chumps were wanting to play cribbage) they get you in a booth quickly. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Service is superfast, food is superdelicious, quantities are superhuge, and they never EVER let your (Boyd's) coffee get cold. Anything on the menu is good. Their pancakes are some of the best I've ever had. If you don't want to bring a box home, order something small! Unless I'm out of town, I'm eating at the Totem on the weekend.

Pros: Fast seating, fast service, fantastic food, huge menu

Cons: Parking can be a pain but there is plenty of curbside parking in the neighborhood

The food is excellent. Lots of it and the price is reasonable. The parking is horrible. I always get the feeling that I need to hurry so they can seat someone else. Otherwise good experience.

Pros: Good food - Good Service - Good price

Cons: Again PARKING is horrid

Horrible service - the motto of the day at this restaurant. Tried to play a game of cribbage and sip a coffee on a recent Saturday AM & then order a nice couple meals. 30 seconds after getting our menus, we were asked what we want. Immediately the tension in the sweaty owners face was building. You could read his mind so easily... "volume! Nothing more, nothing less" "Server, go ask them again for their meal order!". Then, after 8 minutes, and being asked 3 times to order, we said we would, but would like to finish our game. He said, no, you must order, or you'll need to move to a smaller table. (we were at the regular 2-4 people booth already). We said give us a few & we'd be out their hair. 1 minute later he came again, said 'Sorry, I will buy you your coffees, you need to leave." We were actively scanning our menus at that point. He, the owner, said "no, we will not be serving you at all." So, we got up & walked out, never to go there again. Moral of the story, unless you want fast food, or you are an elderly person, DO NOT EAT AT THE TOTEM. THE OWNER of this Restaurant is entirley too hovering & edgy. No smiles (this time or in the past visits), and he openly used his hands in a gesture to his servers to essentially speed us up. (pointing and giving a hand wave like "move them on to order now!"). Never ever will we go there again, and if you have read this, I hope you won't either. We will be passing the word to all our neighbors, friends, coworkers in the community. Share this review!

Pros: None

Cons: Owner sweats profusely, is too overbearing and hovers over you

Huge portions, Great prices keep me coming back! My Grampa first took me to the Totem when I was a kid and I loved it! Now I take my own kids. Original owner since it opened, and a staff that really take pride in their work make this a great place. I hope they'll be around for my grandkids!

Pros: Great food, Great service, large portions

Cons: no waiting area, small, really small restroom
