Somethings are better than others by md m. at InsiderPages

Ixtapa is a great place for some dishes and not so great for others. They make a great wet style burrito they call the Ixtapa burrito. They also have the best chips around. But everytime I've ordered something other than the nachos or Ixtapa burrito I've been sorry.

horrible, rude customer service

by shakirashakira at Citysearch

i have been a fan of ixtapa for many years. my family and i used to be common consumers of their mexican food. recently, however, i have been very disappointed in their overall quality. i ordered a meal to go.,and waited by the register while no less than five employees passed by me, completely ignoring me. and when their son(this, by the way is a family operated restaurant) came up to get my order, he simply printed off the reciept and walked away. not too friendly. it just seemed like he had somewhere better to be on a wednesday evening. i dont know what that was all about. i will never go back to this restaurant again. horrible food, horrible service. rude people, very stuck up service overall.

  • Pros: none really
  • Cons: service, speed, rude employees, the "mexican" food, bad beverages, ick

Comida Mexicana con sabor excelente!

by muchoapetite at Citysearch

Mexican food with excellent flavor (for the bilingually impaired). I travel to WA on business from time to time. I live in So. Ca. where Mex. Restaurants are a dime a dozen. For me to take the time and comment means that the food was great. Even better, was the service. We were attended to by a waiter named Marcos. He was very attentive, had a great sense of humor and added to the overall ambiance of Ixtapa!

  • Pros: Clean, Service, Ambiance
  • Cons: None in So. CA.

Wonderful food, excellent service!

Family owned and operated, Ixtapa is a step into Mexican culture. Beautiful wall murals, hanging vines, and an open, patio like environment gives great ambiance to this fantastic, group friendly restaurant. Come with an appetite as you will not go hungry! Excellent fare!
