My family and I love Tacoma Boys. Their selection of fruits and vegetables is amazing, and the items are always at the peak of freshness. They have almost any cut of meat we have asked for, as well as gourmet cheeses and wines from Washington and Oregon, Spain, Argentina, Chile, and more. They also have a great dried fruit and nut section, and pickled olives and other vegetables. I have never gotten anything bad from Tacoma Boys. They will even help you pick out the best produce if you don't know what to look for.

I decided to try Tacoma Boys since I had heard they had great produce. Then I got there I thought it was wonderful. But When I got home and when to cut open my water mellon. It was soft and gross on the inside. So I through it out., The strawberrys lasted about 7 hours in my home before they gor moldy, then the salsa I purchased was also very bad. Like it had been sitting to long.... So I wasted 22.00 on these 3 items. When you spend a lot on 3 items and get very back fruit.

If you're like me and love to do some premium grilling, you can pick from some of the greatest cuts in the meat department at a real steal, and throw some peppers, corn, or even potatoes on the grill with it and know they are of the freshest quality. This place is right around the corner from us and reasonably priced. We lived in California for the last 4 years and are used to produce stands on every corner. We are kinda picky about our produce and have come to expect freshness. We've never been disappointed with Tacoma Boys.

Pros: close, fresh, and great quality.

My husband is willing to drive down from Seattle anytime to pick up a flat of blueberries, two peruse their many varieties of whatever fruit happens to be in season. The star for him is their own variety of corn, which is intensely fresh, sweet, and crisp. We are originally from Illinois, so we really are serious about our corn. We buy it from them and freeze it so we can enjoy it through the year. The place is huge, with some flowers and plants outside, and the inside has all the fruit and vegetables, some gourmet-type items, it's more interesting than the grocery store, and kids will like to ogle the candy section. Prices usually beat or otherwise meet grocery stores, and it's far more fresh and tasty, and offers a lot of local choices.

Pros: local, fresh and tasty, in gen'l cheap
