I grew up in Tacoma, now living in Spokane. Eating Cloverleaf pizza @ my house was the special night out food, it was the absolute best. But none of you know what it's like to be 27 now, and not close enough to get it whenever I want. Spokane has NOTHING in comparison to Cloverleaf, people who bash cloverleaf are just jealous of us with good taste. Try frisco freeze for awesome burgers out there too. Right by the hospital and washington park near downtown. miss you tacoma!

The Cloverleaf has been the stuff of legend since I first started drinking. The wait staff is surly, somewhat rude. The place is a dank, stinky place where old timers, grease balls and the folks who play on their sponsered sports teams hang out and oogle you like you're an intruder. The pizza is inconsistent, tending toward a disgusting wad you wring the grease out of. I haven't any idea who bought this recommendation? Seriously, there is many other places in the western half of the state that serve a far better pizza than the Cloverleaf. Like the other reviewer said it's a tavern and a stanky one at that. By the way I think the bowling alley down the street has pizza too!
Pros: NONE

I think the last reviewer neglected to keep in mind what the place is called - Cloverleaf TAVERN. They don't seat you in bars, you seat yourself and the service in bars is usually not tip top. Cloverleaf is an establishment and is known for it's cheap pizza and drinks and stale popcorn while you wait for your food. The Pepperoni and Black Olive pizza is my all-time favorite. This place is great for going out with a group of friends for a couple of pitchers and a pizza or 2. Keep in mind many other people have the same thought on Fri and Sat nights, so be prepared for crowds and long waits for food!
Pros: Cheap Pizza, Easy Parking
Cons: Noisy, Crowded

Ok here goes--we got there at about 6:30 pm on a Friday night. Sat OURSELVES in the completely empty dining room (there were 2 men drinking beers there), not the tavern. Took 15 minutes for the waitress to ask if we would like something to drink. Ordered PLAIN CHEESE pizza a half hour later after our waitress remembered we hadn't ordered yet. Man walks in to pick up pizza--they forgot to make his order. NINETY MINUTES LATER (read 1 1/2 hrs!!!!) later the man got his pizza. Our order didn't come until about 8:15. RIDICULOUS. This dough had no flavor, the cheese was stringy but tasteless, and there seemed to be absolutely no marinara under it. There was more to our night, but I only have 150 words for this review. In short, this place is awful, never go unless you plan on getting drunk first.
Pros: inexpensive, full bar, space for parties
Cons: no flavor, awful service, no parking

The pizza at the Cloverleaf Tavern has got to be the best ever! I'd never order pizza anywhere else!!! The toppings are plenty and the crust is nice and crunchy...always save it for the end!
