Worst service

What is the big deal? this place was no where near what any of the other reviews described. Crowded, rude bartenders, and staff. What ever happened to "the customer's always right" ????? You're told to go later in the night when things start moving, but really? they just get too rowdy. No coat check and you must gaurd your possessions with your life! and the music was just awful. I would suggest only going when they don't charge cover or even not going at all. What a dissappointment.

good, fast drinks and great music

Put this on your list of default places to go on any evening that you want to enjoy loud music and good drinks. Many of the area's best DJ's play here and there is decent circulation from the dancefloor to the bar which really helps when the draw is big. Their calendar of events has many intriguing and unique nights to enjoy: whether it is a standard weekly night with a turntable or an ensemble of musicians crowded on a small stage. For sitting, the best place is upstairs which looks down onto the floor. It is also conveniently located right in the middle of all the other clubs making it a good place to start your night off and parking is not horrible as long as you start your evening early enough.

• Pros: DJs, fast service, good circulation
• Cons: after the tables are gone, you have to lean against the wall

good dance club

i have always found hotties hanging out here on the weekends, but it can get too crowded and parking is not very good...try going on thursdays and dancing with the locals. they play some excellent bollywood music from time to time.....a fun scene to bump and grind!

Not worth the cover charge

Love the space here but hate the cover charge. Weeknights are sometimes cheaper but often still cost a bit to get in. However, the decor is beautiful, the DJ's are fun and eclectic and the bartenders are great.

Great club, Seattle's best...

Surprised to hear about the young lady's problem with the bouncer as they have always been great when I've gone. I stopped taking my wife and sister to the Mirabeau Room after several incidents with thuggy guys, then happily watched as the same crowd was refused entry to the Baltic. The staff has always been courteous and extremely helpful, and I would suggest that putting their liquor license (and hence livelihoods) at risk by taking a beer outside wasn't the smartest thing to do...

• Pros: great staff, strong drinks, awesome djs
• Cons: can be crowded

Bad Service/Crowded

way too crowded, they need to remodel. bouncers are VERY rude to the ladies. I was walking out of the club to have a smoke, forgot I had a beer in my hand (I just got there, I wasn't drunk yet - I just forgot) Instead of nicely reminding me not to take it outside, he tries to pull it out of my hand. When I told him all he had to do was ask me to set it down, he asked me if I wanted to get kicked out. I later found out several other ladies in the club had problems with him too. will never go back, its not worth it! To "vancouver manish" - dont u think it is a little dramatic to say "they might get their liquor lic revoked"? for one, there are other ways to tell people something (this was not my first time ever in a club) and two, they let underage people in all the time...that might do something to their livelihood if anything, dont you think??

I love this place

Thursday night reggae at the Baltic Room is great. The DJ's are good, and I love the bartender - he makes very strong drinks. The only thing that I don't like is that the guys are SO aggressive! If my boyfriend goes to the bathroom or to the bar every male within 5 feet who's not already dancing with a girl tries to grab me. I've also had such lame pick up lines as "you look like you want to show me what you got" used on me (response: um, no thank you). On the other hand, it is a bar, and I can understand that some people are trying to hook up.

• Cons: guys are pushy

Bhangra, Bollywood & mixed ethnic Beats!

The show on alternating Saturday nights is very cool. I've never seen so many gorgeous women. Actually the whole crowd is pretty friendly. Different kind of music, which I like to hear. You can get straight hip hop anywhere. Dynamite drummer accompanies them too.

Great club!

Definitely the club I end up the most at. I am sad they lost the drum and bass weekly on Tuesday but will still find myself back there for one-off nights.

Great Vibe

Love love LOVE the upstairs area of the Baltic room. If you don't feel like dancing there are comfy booths upstairs, candlelit lighting with an intimate feel. Stars light the ceiling and the DJ's are usually right on. Very hip and very lush-good bartenders and service.
