Crest is the best (except)

by Rocky34

Creast is the best except the "City of Shoreline" is going to wreck it. Next time you go to a movie check the proposal for land use across the street (south of crest) High rise condos which will increase taxes to all existing buidings in the area. By the way, great view of the cascades from Creast but Condos will change that too.

Creast is the best because Creast is cheaper then any other movie theather, but when you raise taxes because the value of the land is worth more do to new condos. Creast will be run out of town!!!!!!! Mark my word................ the gread of the City of Shoreline will make Creast owner close his doors. Just wait and see, another theater will bite the dust.

Seattle's coolest bargain theater never disappoints.

by Contributor

In Short
In an age of over over-priced, sterile multiplexes, the Crest is a movie-lover's paradise. The savvy, cinemaphile owners are highly selective in their picks, consistently choosing first-run art-house flicks and beloved indie revivals for their schedule. It's a bit of a drive from downtown Seattle (approximately 15 minutes on I-5), but the $3 admission just can't be beat, and parking is never a hassle.

The Best

by Sour_skittlez18

The Crest is like the coolest. Instead of paying 20 bucks for one kid to see a new movie, you wait a while, and then the best of the best movies come to the crest, a place close to a 7-11, 2 sneak in candy and in a pretty cool neighbourhood, not very busy. Its only 3 dollars for the best movies and all can appreciate that.

  • Pros: Inexpesive, 7-11, Good movies
  • Cons: Not 2 much parking, ........., seats are ok...

I'm a CRESTIE!

by Kellwoman

This is the first theatre I look at when I'm searching for a movie. I find MOST of the movies there very watcheable. And if I do run across a bad one, oh well, it was only $3 bucks. And the popcorn is the BEST.

Crest = great, Alderwood 12 = heavenly

by TroyletShawn

Yeah guys, great job on all the reviews giving praise to Alderwood 12. I saw so many unbelievable films there -- Office Space, Thomas Crown Affair, The Apostle (which was actually there for about 6 months). Crest is a cozy theater but some of the ushers are uptight about bringing food in and things like that. A-12 was the best because the ushers were just trying to make the consumer happy-- I will always have a place in my heart for A-12.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, good films, lots of foreign films
  • Cons: Ushers uptight

Good, but not off the hinges

by MHisAddictedtoP

The Crest is a great theater. I remember seeing some quality films there, most recently the Rookie and Amelie. I'll give it props, but let's be honest, it's no Alderwood 12, deemed "the dirty dozen" by a big handed friend. There you could bring in any food you want-- buffalo wing pizza, teriyaki, hot tamales you name it. Sometimes I go to bed at night wishing they'd bring back A-12--hasn't happened yet, but one day it will!

Crest is Best!

by gundy

The Crest is a special place where you can see a wise selection of wonderful movies at an incredible price. The staff is especially personable. The seats are kind of small and the rows are close so it can be more comfortable to go during off hours. Popcorn's good. Parking can be a challenge during peak hours of a new listing. But some of the best movie experiences I've had in Seattle have been at the Crest.

  • Pros: Movie selection, Staff's nice, Inexpensive

Best Theater In Seattle

by subpop77

I love the Crest. First, its 3 dollars, you can't rent a movie at Blockbuster for 3 dollars. The seats yes may be old, and some of the smaller screens are not what you'd find at your big generic multiplex. But the Crest also has character. It not only plays big Hollywood hits ( aka Lord of the Rings) but also plays lots of foreign and independent film (aka Elling). It seems crazy to me to charge only 3 bucks for movies that are much better than your normal Hollywood fare. Bravo Crest and Landmark Cinemas.
