Great sound and picture...

.... in a city with so little to offer in the way of a/v in theaters. Coming from the Bay Area, theaters in Seattle are atrocious. Yes, the Cinerama may be a great place, but it's been showing 'Narnia' forever. Thus, the Uptown stands out as a great theater to see a picture in Seattle, and its movie choices are good ones.

• Pros: good movie choices, nice sound, good picture
• Cons: uncomfortable seating

Friendly neighborhood theater

What Uptown lacks in parking, sound quality and comfort, it makes up for with its movie selections and the more personable feel of the theatre. A great place to catch an independent flick.
