Great Location & Service, Average Room
by v_1aada at Citysearch
My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for 2 days while visiting friends and family in Seattle. We stayed in a single King room. We were disappointed when we opened the door to our room. It was very average. Just 2 pictures on the walls, plain furniture and bathroom and the bed had the usual Motel bed-spread. The television was small. The movies were more expense, they averaged about $12 a movie. Also, there was no pool or gym and we had to pay to park in the garage, $11 a day. They did offer a gym across the street for a fee. The service was excellent. I've never stayed in a hotel with such incredible service. The people were honestly friendly. I was very surprised. So, overall, an average clean room with excellent service, priced adequately at $105.
- Pros: Good Location, Excellent Service, Fast elevators
- Cons: , No Gym, Boring Decor
Luxury in a convenient suburban setting, complete with business offices, fitness facilities and fashionable shopping.

The Scene
This mega-hotel is located in a three-building Eastside complex of monoliths--including conference space, stores, restaurants, offices and a health club--right across the street from Bellevue Square (or Bell Square, as those in the shopping know call it), considered by many to be the region's mecca mall. A shared courtyard area beside the driveway lends the collection of buildings human scale, and the outdoor seating for dining al fresco and enjoying the occasional northwest sunny day provides some character.
The Details
A surprisingly small and comfortable lobby, adorned with dark tile floors and Asian accents, creates a sense of intimacy not found in the rest of the hotel. The emphasis here is on business (big biz, that is), beginning with more than 17,000 square-feet of meeting space. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and practical, with two doubles or a king bed, a sitting area, work desk, high-speed Internet access and all the other stuff today's active conference-goer can't live without.
