What users are saying:
A favorite spot for a quiet walk along the shore or a blazing bonfire.

In Short
The gardens were named in 1907 by Harry Treat, a real-estate baron whose trolley brought Ballard residents here each weekend. Roads were built in later decades, and soon came the bumper-to-bumper traffic that's part of the experience today. Don't overlook the expansive trail-filled forest east of the Burlington Northern railroad tracks. To get there, duck through the underpass near the north end of the parking lot.

Beautiful sunsets

We usually go to Golden Gardens for the amazing sunset on the beach. Beautiful views of sailboats in the distance, lots of sand to bury your toes in, trails to walk the dog, and a marina close by are just some of the highlights of this lovely park. Can sometimes be crowded, and be careful where you park, you will get a ticket if you park in a spot thats not meant for you!
- Pros: crowded, parking tickets
- Cons: beautiful sunsets, sand, trails
One of my favorite parks

Golden Gardens Parks is one of my favorite park. It is really nice. I definately agree that it's a good place to have a bonfire. it is also a good place to go for a picnic. There's a play area for kids..pretty good trails, and an off lease area for dogs. Of course it can get crowded during the summer, but it's a very nice park.
- Pros: Great park, beautiful views, good place to have a picnic or bon fire
Wonderful Beach

As a life long resident, I have to say wether boating, site seeing, sitting around a bon fire, or needing a day out with the kids, Golden Gardens is a must see destination. This beach has been a part of my life since my teens, and I fondly remember many a evening sitting around the fire in my twenties, and now in my 30's I love taking my kids to the beach to frolic in the waves, play in the sand and explore shore.
- Pros: Sandy Beach, Boat Launch, Mountain Views
- Cons: , Closes at 11pm
lovely place

I used to go here often to hang out with my friends. I've only been at night, where we would have a bonfire, roast marshmellows, and kick it. It's a great place and I still want to go during the day.
