LOVED IT
by native_seattlite
My husband and I stayed at Willows Lodge for our anniversary and had a wonderful, romantic time! Beautiful, stylish and cozy rooms -similar decor to Sun Mountain lodge which we love. The most comfortable and luxe bed ever and adorable fireside lounge downstairs with great food from the barking frog. Overall, cozy and romantic!
Garden view is great

We stayed in the largest room for a special birthday celebration. They gave us complimentary wine tasting for my honey's birthday. The dinner was too expensive for what they offered, but was otherwise good. The room is huge, nice seperate shower and bath/soaking tub. Very romantic with the fireplace in the room. I hope to go back again.
- Pros: free parking, great service, free internet, special occasion.
Worst. Hotel. Ever.
by rlruby
This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my life.
On the plus side, the hotel is very attractive and we enjoyed the food. The hotel booked us in a room next to the banquet facility where a wedding was taking place - our room was surrounded by wedding guests. The hotel was unable or unwilling to move us to a room where we could have peace and quiet.
If you go here, you must insist that you not be in any of the ground floor rooms next to the banquet facilities if you want to get any sleep. The hotel should only be using these rooms for banquet guests - it should not offer them to any other guests unless they aren't using the banquet rooms.
Overall, it is way too expensive for the shabby treatment we received.
- Pros: Barking Frog - good food
- Cons: Service was awful
This rustic, yet refined, lodge is a treat for the soul and senses.

In Short
Nestled in the Sammamish River Valley, the reclaimed timber and a 30-foot-tall stone fireplace create an ambience of Northwest warmth and hospitality. Spacious guest rooms also carry an air of natural simplicity and elegance, featuring beautiful woodwork, walls bathed in warm tones of olive and eggshell, gas fireplaces and luxurious soaking tubs (with an unobstructed view of the 27-inch TV). Cozy beds offer lambswool mattress pads, down duvets and luxurious, 300-plus thread-count Italian linens.
A relaxing getaway only minutes from Seattle!
by sparkle99
We LOVE this place. It's less than 30 mins from Seattle, but it feels like you are worlds away. The rooms are beautifully designed, the outdoor hot pool in an asian garden setting is like heaven on earth, and you can even order room service from the Barking Frog. Perfect for a weekend getaway without the hassle of a long drive/flight.
PS Don't forget to check out the pigs they have in their garden which is owned by the Herbfarm!!!
- Pros: Very relaxing, Close to Seattle, Great food
- Cons: Expensive at times
Not 100%

The Lodge is lovely, rooms beautiful. The tub IS right in the room, with only a glass wall separating it from sleeping area. Cool high tech shower- just punch in the temperature you want! King size bed, but a too soft, sagging mattress. No top sheet- just a comforter with (washable) duvet. So during the summer it's be too warm or sleep uncovered. The lighting requires an instruction manual to operate- takes a day or two to get the hang of it. There were problems with our reservation- I booked online and ended up with a spa package on a day the spa was closed- and they had trouble finding my reservation- but it worked out.
- Pros: High tech, Quiet rooms, Ammenities
- Cons: Sagging bed, Pricey
A romantic treasure, cool hi-tech rooms
by MichaelA
Impressive from the moment you pull in the parking lot until you leave. Had a snotty reception person but was probably an exception. The rooms are big and have every technical gadget you can dream of, have never been in a more enjoyable room. Check out DVDs or music from front desk or a Network card for your laptop and you're on the high speed internet connection. Plan to explore the grounds with your sweetie. Woke up to a robin's song echoing in the courtyard against the blue morning sky, was wonderful. Location is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Go on a sunny day (July) and see a concert at the winery, a romantic slam dunk! Can't wait to go again!
- Pros: Cool Hi-tech rooms, Attractive decor, Peaceful setting
Quality everywhere, but . . .
by russbrown
My wife and I stayed here a couple of Saturdays ago. We were impressed with the high quality of everything from the flooring to the furniture to the complimentary breakfast which included smoked salmon and Plugras butter. Pleasant grounds and friendly service. On the downside, the bathroom arrangements are bizarre; the bathroom is essentially a part of the bedroom - everything is quite open. And for those who are particular about pillows, these are the worst I've ever encountered: absolutely huge, uncomfortable, and, oddly, radiating heat. All in all, though, worth the money provided one doesn't pay the rack rate.
Outstanding

We did a overnight getaway (live in Kirkland) and had such a relaxing time. A+ service. Staff was very friendly, food was excellent, room was very nice with bottled water, great teas, bath products and more! Please we rented bikes and they packed us a lunch for our picnic. Just wish I had more time there! Only thing they could have done better was pack lunch with alittle more care, other than that, I was very impressed!

The lodge itself is beautifully built, the food nearby is excellent and its just a short walk to the lovely grounds of Chateau St Michelle.
