Amazing Food and Amazing Staff!!!

by LauraDora at Citysearch

Wasabi is one of my favorite restaurants! The Second Ave. Roll is definitely something to write home about! Tony and Rob are extremely friendly and are the reason that I will only sit at the bar! Thanks guys for always making everyone feel so special and taken care of each time!

  • Pros: Super hospitable and yummy food

Great for a party

by Flabdoo at Citysearch

We had a large group gathering and decided on sushi. We called for a lot of rolls for pick up and they were very accomodating, ready in 30 minutes. They threw in some edamame too. Rolls were good! Its the kind of place you need to sample and see which rolls you like best.

  • Pros: Quick service, wide assortment
  • Cons: A few rolls were bland

Good eats and quick seats

by moonsshine at Citysearch

I like this place. The happy hour is great, and you can try a bunch of little stuff with a friend or a few friends and its pretty cheap. The sushi is very good too and the atmosphere is nice but chill. I did have guy server there one time that must have sipping the sake a little to much in the back or something though. He could not for the life of him figure out how to separate the bill for my friends and I. Other than that it is a decent price with a good variety and its pretty quick.

  • Pros: lots of little stuff
  • Cons: lots of little stuff makes for tough decisions

Good sushi

by ILikethetea at Citysearch

This place has great sushi and good happy hour prices. Also, good service. But if you're looking for an entree other than sushi, I would not eat here.

  • Pros: sushi/rolls, good location, service
  • Cons: entrees

great sushi, great customer service

by marcusgeovanni at Citysearch

I had a really great experience at The Wasabi Bistro this past weekend. I brought my family who I had not seen in quite a while. The staff was so friendly that they broke the ice. From the management to the servers , they were all perfect. They are all very professional but know what to say at the right time. Not to mention the service was great. The sushi wowed my family and I'll be back as soon as I can. I will always be thankful for that night.

  • Pros: customer service, sushi, ambiance
  • Cons: none

Phenominal as always

by Tranlovs at Citysearch

It's like this, I go every where in this town to eat sushi and nothing compares to the Wasabi Bistro. I keep coming back because of the consistency of everything from the food to the service. I'm there about 5 or 6 times a month and the staff treats me better there than anywhere else I go by far. This place is so unbelieveably busy and they are always friendly and attentive. I've given other places in the Bell Town area more than enough chances and the service is always disappointing. There is one place specifically that I know is considered somewhat of a rival of Wasabi Bistro, I'll just say it starts with a U, I've been there four times and the servers have always been ridiculously bad. Don't even try it. At Wasabi I recall getting OK service once but every other time has been really good. I love the rolls, gotta try the tarantula! The last time I was there was last weekend. I tried a special martini with sake that was amazing. I can't remember the name of it though. The waitress was beautiful along with the presentation of the sushi. I just think they've got it there and most people I know agree.

  • Pros: service, rolls,presentation
  • Cons: occaisonal wait

It takes more than soy sauce and wasabi.... whassup, wasabi bistro??

by TheRawTruth at Citysearch

Three of us went to WB for lunch today and were deeply saddened by the fact that the mighty has fallen. Here is a run-down of the experience:

1) Ordered two Wasabi Mary's (sake, vodka, Bloody Mary mix). Apparently, they was no bartender on shift, so the gal making the drinks sampled our would-be concoctions no less than three times, jerking her head back each time. To be sure the cocktail was undrinkable she enlisted the tasting prowess of another three servers (all of whom used the completely acceptable straw vacuum technique to sample.) Needless to say we had lost confidence in those drinks and ordered Vs & Ts and Gs & Ts. Our server made it known that she would not be chrging us for the drinks. (Gee thanks)

2) Ordered to sashimi plates (C's?) and a roll plate (A?). While the roll plate was quite acceptable, the sashimi was too thick (and mushy). This may seem contrary to popular opinion, but, yes, you can have too thick of a cut of sashimi. I mentioned this to the server in a nice way; she took the size of the cut as a positive statement on the value of their establishment. (Beware value-oriented sushi)

3) Next we couldn't help to overhear our dining neighbors say that something "doesn't taste right", "please take it away", "I feel sick", and "I need the check before I get sick". This continued to spoil our dining experience. (I think they were partially comped, as well)

I used to hold WB as among the finest sushi restaurants in town, now I will have to avoid it for personal and business lunches. I do want to say, however, that while the service was s-l-o-w today, the server had a great personality and was willing to help us find a solution to the problems we experienced. (I wonder if she kows of a good sushi place in town?)

Still The Best

by Lizeepreston at Citysearch

I so love this place and have for a couple of years now. The rolls and sushi are amazing and the service is always top notch. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and attentive every time. They have never failed me. There are other places that have opened around town but Wasabi Bistro is still the best.

No Toro for you!

by CuisineEditor at Citysearch

Wasabi Bistro (Seattle): Good Sushi. Great Sashimi. No Toro, but the albacore made up for it. Decent brew on tap. Friendly staff. Great happy hour prices (4?6 pm). Great portions. Kid friendly. Rice was well prepared. Fast service. Still does not even compare to Sushi Raw in San Diego.

Favorite Sushi in Seattle so far

by SocialiteInSeattle at Citysearch

I love Wasabi Bistro. It is in the heart of belltown. Unfortunately that means parking can be a hassle, but totally worth it in my opinion. I love their food, and the prices are not too bad. The service is good for the most part. Overall I have yet to find another sushi place I like more.

  • Pros: The food, the ambience, the price, the delicious drinks.
  • Cons: Parking sometimes.
