Wasabi Bistro (Seattle): Good Sushi. Great Sashimi. No Toro, but the albacore made up for it. Decent brew on tap. Friendly staff. Great happy hour prices (4–6 pm). Great portions. Kid friendly. Rice was well prepared. Fast service. Still does not even compare to Sushi Raw in San Diego.

I love Wasabi Bistro. It is in the heart of belltown. Unfortunately that means parking can be a hassle, but totally worth it in my opinion. I love their food, and the prices are not too bad. The service is good for the most part. Overall I have yet to find another sushi place I like more.

Pros: The food, the ambience, the price, the delicious drinks.

Cons: Parking sometimes.

I took my husband here for his birthday. We were given an excellent table by the window. The service was fantastic, the food even better. The best part was when they gave us a green tea tiramisu free of charge with a candle in it and the words "Happy Birthday" written in sauce on the plate. The service was so excellent, my husband and I joked about the guys who brought us water. We would drink about 2 inches down of our water glass and then time it to see how long it took the water guys to fill up the glass. They were so on top of it, sometimes I barely had time to set the water glass down before they were there for a refill. Those guys take their jobs VERY seriously! The only negative was the hostess' outfit. I am totally ok in general with women wearing revealing clothing but seriously. Her dress was paper thin and wet suit tight. Pretty trashy. And distracting. Not for my husband but for me! I couldn't look away. It was like a train wreck. Her attire might be cool at a strip club but not a nice restaurant. The other hostesses were just fine.

Pros: Great service, creative sushi and desserts

Cons: the hostess' trashy outfit

I always leave very happy after dining at Wasabi Bistro. The sushi is the best and the rolls are so good. The servers have been really attentative everytime I've been there too. It's always so crowded but they do a good job. I send a lot of clients there and their reviews seem to be the same. It will always be one of my favorite places.

Pros: sushi,rolls,service

I've been coming to this restaurant almost since day one and I've seen it change. First for the worse then for the better. When it first opened it was great, there a was quaint kind of sexiness to it then after about two years it got very bad. More and more people started coming and the staff either couldn't handle it or didn't care to. The service was ok, bad, or nonexistent. I lived in Lynnwood at the time so I stopped coming for a while. I remember alot of the servers trying to get by with their looks or personality. Of course, some didn't have a personality. At first I thought it was kind of funny but I quickly made a decision to not come to the Wasabi Bistro any more, especially all the way from Lynnwood. About a year ago a friend of mine convinced me to come back and I noticed a huge difference. Every time I've dined there since then I've had great experiences. Sure, some are better than others but consistently the staff has been helpful and attentive. They are definately attractive but it it's obvious now that service is becoming priority. I was there last week and had a great dinner. I might have a bad experience in the future but I'll keep coming back because it seems like they care, and the sashimi is the best in town. Somebody will probably have a negative experience and write about it, it's inevitable. I just want to give credit where credit is due. I do think they've had the the same furniture in the bar area for a while though, might be time for a change there. Otherwise this place rocks!

Pros: sashimi,service,management

Cons: the wait, needs new bar tables

We were at Wasabi Bistro both Friday and Saturday night and our experience both times was fabulous. We spent a total of seven hours there between both nights. We ordered a few large platters of sashimi and all of it was so good. I have to say, I've been here before and I've always enjoyed it but last weekend the service was phenominal. Our waiters both times were perfect and we looked around and noticed the others were all so spot on. They have a great saketini, I can't remember the name of it but has blueberries. We'll be back soon!

Pros: service, sashimi, drinks, ambiance

Cons: parking was a little annoying

I've been coming to Wasabi Bistro for about two years now. We found this place while we were on vacation when living in San Francisco. There's nothing like this place down there. The rolls are creative and the sushi is not only fresh but you get so much with each cut. The service and ambiance are always great also. I wasn't sure if I was going to write anything but I saw a previous review that I disagree with. I know people keep returning to this place because of how it's run. I am here about 3 or 4 times a month either with my husband or my girlfriends and we are treated better here than anywhere else we go. That's why we keep coming back. I know it's April Fools Day but I would never joke about our favorite restaurant.

Pros: sushi, service, ambiance

Cons: the wait if no reservation

I came here and sat at the bar by myself for a quick bit after work last week. Solo dining makes me feel awkward, but the bar tender was very cool and answered all my questions about the menu as if he was going to prepare it himself. He even recommend a saki-martini thing that was really good to go with it. i have been here before at lunch and usually get the bento box, and have always had good service and food. this is always I place I recommend to people when they are venturing to Belltown.

Pros: Nice Bartender, price, menu

I've been going to Wasabi for five years now. I really enjoyed dining here in the beginning, but gradually it has gotten worse and worse. I was there the other day with some business associates and was completely embarrassed by things that used to be better than average. The servers were unprofessional, inattentive, and lazy. Ours for example had her hair unkept, she was chewing gum and smelled like she had just been smoking. It was very hard to talk business because the music was much too loud. We also had to wait forever for our food and when it finally came, the quality of it wasn't very good. The chicken was dry, the salmon was overcooked, and our dessert had already melted once it had reached the table. The sushi was okay, but that was the only thing that I would not complain about after the experience. I feel sorry that what used to be such a good restaurant has sunk to such a low level.

I am a freaquent visitor and I have to order the green decadence roll every time I come even though it's a vegitarian option. I'll get it even if I get a bento box. I do love this place for other reasons though. The atomosphere is cool and hip but by no means Seattle pretencious. I have been there for lunch, happy hour and dinner and always get great service.
