We went into Ten Mercer the other night after the ballet for a late dinner and bottle of wine. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, even with a full lobby at 10:30 at night! We were promptly taken upstairs, sat at a great table for two and thouroughly taken care of. It was busy and people were running around but it never felt hectic. Our server recommended a great bottle of wine and the proscuitto wrapped almond stuffed dates. They were amazing! We had the venison and chicken, both of us loved the choices with our wine. Overall, this restaurant is a gem at the bottom of Queen Anne!
Pros: Great late night food! Full menu offered until midnight
Cons: Waiting with the crowd to get into the restaurant

I visited Ten Mercer for the first time last Thursday. A friend and I sat down at a table in the bar and 10 minutes later no one had stopped by to get us drinks. Finally a really nice girl dropped of some water and we asked her if we could order a drink. She passed on our order to the server. In the meantime a few other friends showed. The server finally came by, dropped the two drinks off, and walked away without asking if she could get the other guests a drink. After about another 10 minutes we finally went up to the bar to order drinks for the remainder of the party. The server kept walking by us and ignoring our "excuse me's." Finally they called us to our table. We walked up there and waited another 10 minutes for anyone to stop by and take our drink order. We ordered a few appetizers, which were so-so. When we were all finished I walked out to get my car (at 7:30pm) and the attendant was not standing at the podium. I waited about 5 minutes and walked back inside to ask the hostess if maybe the attendant waited inside since it was so cold and the parking lot was full. She said he probably went home for the night and my keys were at the bar. So off to the bar I went and waited another 10 minutes for a bartender to tell me he had no idea what I was talking about. Overall, the restaurant seems poorly run. The servers and bartenders are rude and uninformed and the food is unimpressive.

First time to Ten Mercer last Friday night for a light, late meal. I ordered lobster bisque. It was very thin with some type of minced, mystery fish. Zero flavor. Ordered a glass of red wine and a few sips into it I noticed a tentacle like residue on the side of the glass. Soo, ordered a cup of coffee which arrived luke warm. I asked the waitress for some hot coffee and she replied, "Oh, I checked it with my finger and it seemed hot." "Check please".

went here before a play (too bad the play couldn't have been as good as our meal here.) started with the samosas with feta and walnuts. they were good, but show me fried dough with chees and nuts that isn't. mercer salad for the second course was okay, as well. tasted two entrees: the garlic chick and the braised lamb shank. go with the lamb. slow cooked until it falls from the bone, you can really taste the flavour of the meat. the faintest essence of cinnamon is left in your mouth after you swallow, too. served with grilled polenta, this is the dish. the garlic chicken is good - don't get me wrong. great flavor and a hearty plate with fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. but the lamb is something i would go back for. the only disappointment was the bread pudding, which had the taste and consistency of oatmeal with cran-raisins in it. ick. to their credit, they removed it from the bill when they saw it went untouched. all around a good choice for a neighborhood bistro. hurray!
Pros: food
Cons: parking

Some friends took me here for dinner and I never knew that I would ever like the taste of lamb in my life. Service was great, even on a weekday. Great ambiance too, its nice to see that in a restaurant within proximity of Key Arena/Seattle Center.

We came out of "Tuesdays with Morrie" at the Rep and hadn't eaten yet, so looked for a place close by, and decided on 10 Mercer. Wonderful food, extremely good service, even a table side visit from the owner. We made a good choice! Grilled salmon was perfect, artichoke risotto flavorful, and the samosas were a treat.
Pros: delicious
Cons: a little noisy

Do you get it? 10 Mercer lays it out on their sign, Dinner and Drinks For combination of menu, wine list, décor, vibe and value a top restaurant anywhere in the U.S. Service rocks as well. By the way 03 Telegraphe is $88?!
Pros: wine prices, bartenders

Being from out of out of town, looking for a place to eat, we ended up here. We are so glad we ended up here though!!! It made our visit to Seattle a great experience. We didn't have a reservation but were quickly seated at the bar. Brandon was an excellent/entertaining bartender - very knowledable!! Dinner had great presentation, but without the tiny portions that usually come along with it! Highly suggest the garlic crusted chicken... phenominal! Already planning a trip back to Seattle just so I can eat here again!
Pros: Bartender, Martini, Romantic

popped in for a bite after a Monday night show. Looks pretty but the food was not great for what we paid. the wild green salad would have been good if it were not drowned in dressing. Fettuccini carbonara was a little overcooked. chocolate silk cloyingly sweet. Staff was nice but didnt know the bar, but it was a Monday night..... We felt that more energy was spent making the place and the food look nice, than on the actually dishes themselves...
Pros: close to theaters, good wine list
Cons: dull food, not cheap

After an evening of wondering where we should eat, we settled on Ten Mercer and are so glad we did. After having some trouble finding parking we were ushered upstairs to a great table overlooking both the bar and busy street. The food was very fresh and had great balance of flavor. If you enjoy Risotto, the Lobster Risotto was prepared to perfection. This is a great place to go after a play or before a night on the town.
Pros: Food, Atmosphere
Cons: Parking
