Owner Jennifer Gallucci knows that every girl needs certain quotidian accoutrements; why not have a little fun with them? This small, airy Capitol Hill shop carries an arresting assortment of original handbags from local designers, European soaps, edgy jewelry and Italian toothbrushes. Every piece of merchandise is a design triumph, as is the shop's decor. Gallucci limits stock to a few pieces per item, so everyone on the Hill won't have the Wonder Woman glasses case you just bought.

whenever i want to really treat myself, i pick up a new piece at lipstick traces. she is so selective about the indie designers she uses and everything is unique and carefully constucted. rad jewelry and wallets too.
