This was one of the best restaurants we ate at on our honeymoon. Aside from a bad DJ one of the nights we ate there, the place was really cool. The atmosphere is very island/tiki and the sushi bar looks right at home. Try the Spam and the Moco Loco if you like eclectic cuisine, and Happy hour is definitely worth it for inexpensive food and drinks. We were well cared-for even on an extremely crowded Friday. We will go back the next time we're in town.
Pros: Authentic and eclectic cuisine and atmosphere
Cons: A bad DJ clashes with a great restaurant

First off, I'll give credit to the decor and the atmosphere INSIDE the restaurant. Waitress was okay. BUT I was not fond of the second hand smoke drifting in from the "bouncer" smoking within feet of the front door. Reflects poorly on management when they don't train their employees, no matter the business. We live in Seattle, a SMOKE FREE zone. I feel strongly about guest service, and when I see something that needs to be worked on, it spoils the rest of the experience.
Pros: decor
Cons: belltown parking, enough said

well this place has gone to the dogs!!!! The bar managers drunk, the servers are drunk the foods ok but if u walk out of there alone at nite you'll get jumped and the bouncers wont do a thing. go to Wasabi Bisto at least they know how to treat they're cusomers!!! The service is slow. The servers are drunk, they dont care about there customers there just trying to make a buck!!!
Pros: foods good
Cons: servers/bartenders are drunk always

We were greeted warmly by Alethia, one of the waitresses who, throughout the night , was friendly and made sure that we felt like a priority. We ended up having an issue with our bill and she handled it right away, she frequently came back to check on us and we felt like she was a part of our group. The steak cabobs were fabulous, juicy and tender and I recommend the Blue Hawaiian if you like sweet drinks. I do recommend going early if you go on a Monday night, happy hour is until 11pm but its hard to get in.
Pros: Atmosphere, Service
Cons: Street Parking

A place where you can find all types of sushi, great spam masubi and even hawaiian style fried rice. You will get your money's worth when you get the sushi here. Ambiance is great, hawaiian theme. Great for dinner or for happy hour.
Pros: Spam masubi!
Cons: Small quarters, not really for a huge dinner party.

Always good service at Ohana. Very good sushi if you're not a sushi snob. Spider roll is especially good. Drinks are stiff and good.

I can't say enough about Ohana's. The sushi is great and the atmosphere even better. The happy hours offer good deals on Pilsner drafts and California Rolls. I love the "half-baked roll" and always order Kirin Ichiban on draft. I see that they're building an outdoor deck in the front too so I can't wait for summer to roll around to enjoy eating outside. Only downside is that parking is difficult in this area.
Pros: Great food, great service, great drinks
Cons: Very limited street parking

Before going into detail, one thing must be noted. This is not a Polynesian restaurant. Those looking for Polynesian food are going to need to continue searching (and unfortunately around here, you'll most likely have to go to someone's home..haha!). There are a few "local" plate selections, but the majority of the food is Japanese-influenced. One thing that is unfortunate these days, is that people believe that if there are tikis and leis adorning a restaurant, then the food is Polynesian. The misconception can also most likely be attributed to the description in the restaurant name. Anyway, I have been going to 'Ohana for years now, as it used to be a very popular place to hang out throughout college on Wednesday nights. Thankfully, there is still a local-style band that plays each Wed, and for those who miss hearing local jams on the radio, you can catch a few at this time. The happy hour is a great time to go, as the spicy tuna handroll is one of my faves in the area! The deep-fried ice cream (coconut is my all-time favorite), is exquisite and has a layer of angel cake surrounding it. The lava flows are super as well. On the down side, the Blue Hawaii's tend to be a little too sweet, and the teriyaki sauce on the spam musubi is a little too sticky and sweet as well. That's just my preference however, so I have to admit that I do have a few friends that love those two. All in all, the bartenders are great, while the waitstaff is a little airy and forgetful. No worries, you go here for the atmostphere ;)
Pros: Great music and the likelihood of seeing familiar faces (if you're from the islands..)
Cons: Flighty servers

...just returned from our first dinner at Ohana and the food was fantastic. The sushi was as good as any I've had in the Bay Area and the coconut shrimp was delicious. Highly recommended...
