Wins by a landslide in my book. Okay, Redmond is not known for it's dining, but if you must, goto Typhoon. The food is excellent and it is one of the very few places to get upscale Thai food anywhere on the Eastside. I never order Phad Thai at dine-and-go places, because they are always mushy and soaked with fish sauce. Typhoons crab phad thai is my favorite. Fresh, light and spicy! There are many other good things to order on the menu but I mostly go for the crab phad thai and the tea selection. I have been to this restaurant going on a dozen times, and the quality is consistent. Even though it is in a strip mall next to the multiplex, the atmosphere inside is elegant and pleasant. I have not visited the Seattle location yet.
Pros: best thai food, eastside location
