Bread Making Cooking Class by Eileen M. at InsiderPages

Last winter I took my husband and his brother to a Bread Making Class at Kaspars Special Events and Catering. I was truly impressed with the breads that we were going to learn to make. Kaspar laid it all out beautifully with the recipes easy to follow. To save time he started some of the doughs and we had a chance to follow the instructions on braiding Egg bread, cutting up foccacia, rolling up and glazing Cinnamon rolls. We were all so impressed with all that we learned. To top it off, we got to taste all the breads before we left the class and everyone had a TO GO Box to take home and freeze for another day. It was by far the BEST Bread Making class we have every attended. NO one does it better than Kaspar. My husband and his brother loved it as much as I did! The price was right and the value of what we took home, incredible! Can't wait to attend another class soon. This really met my expectations. I would highly recommend a Kaspars Cooking class to anyone who wants great recipes, beautifully prepared and served with pizzaz!

What a treat...to find out about the special dinner evenings at Kaspars. I thought it was just for special parties, but they have dinners every now and again and huge buffets on holidays - Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, Easter. Last week (Dec. 5) was a special Champagne dinner. Perfect food, fantastic wines and a beautiful room to boot. There is a winemaker dinner coming up in January. Check out the website for the scoop. www.kaspars.com.

If you have the need to entertain people from out of town, you can certainly impress friends and family at Kaspars. We recently hosted our family from New York for a family event. Everything was perfect. Their planning staff worked with us to get us exactly what we needed and suggested things to make our dinner go even better than planned. The food pleased everyone in our party, even the food snobs. The simple ingredients put together in a pleasing way, and offered up in an abundent grand buffet, gave every person something to savor. For a group of 20 to 200 I would certainly not hesitate to plan my next event at Kaspars.

The company that I work for hosted a client appreciation night at Kaspars and it was a great success! The entire evening was out of this world. The food, the great cozy warm atmosphere and location were top notch. Clients loved the inventive appetizers including flatbreads, chicken quesadillas, and delectable crab spring rolls. Kaspars went above and beyond to make the night a success. The staff is very professional and everyone commented on how easy the entire night was to execute. We used the Elliott Bay room at Kaspars for food and drinks and the Fireside Room for a presentation. We cannot wait for our event again this year - and of course it will be at Kaspars!
- Pros: ambience, service, food selection

Kaspar's is one of those rare places that the food is consistently good without the cost being in the highest tier of expense.

a pre holiday meal was terribly disappointing. Our host who promptly let us know they were out of bread, steak, and lamb. How does one run out of bread when there is a Safeway on the next corner? The fish was served cold, the hungarian goloush didn't show any signs of paprika, and the chicken was swimming in a cranberry chutney like substance. However on a positive note, the spinach salad was delicious... although I had to fight an over zealous wait staff for it as he tried to clear my plate several times before I was finished. Perhaps they need a refresher course in how utensils are placed on a plate to signify the patron is finished. Meal was well over priced for something most of us could have prepared far better in our own kitchens. Truly disappointing and would not recommend you spend your money there.
- Pros: location
- Cons: , service, prices
