I don't like the place, too dirty looking.
by richard98101
The sandwich was kind of a downer. I expected better the place really smells great from the street. Lots of bread, not much stuff inside, small sandwices and a tad expensive. I was confused as to how a person orders and was seated, expecting to have some guidance when entering the palace. Don't like my food prepared by a "tatooed guy" with bare hands, coughing all the time.......The decore looks dumb and dirty.
Sorry guys for the bad review, as I live in the neighborhood
Bad Sandwiches
by desireedralle
I can't believe people like the sandwiches here. My boyfriend and I ate here the other day while strolling through Capital Hill and while it had a cool atmosphere, the sanwiches sucked. The bread was so dry and so thick, you couldn't taste anything in between. I might stop by for a drink, but the sandwiches need some work.
- Pros: Good atmosphere
- Cons: Bad Sandwiches
Best sandwiches in Seattle!
by gaspol
Excellent sandwiches, very reasonable prices. I had the Wave rider... turkey, pesto, red peppers, mustard... yummy! It was really tasty. They toasted the bread really nice too. Some reviews slammed the service level which I think is unfair. This is a sandwich joint... you go to the counter, order your sandwich, sit at the table, they bring your sandwiches to you, you bus your table afterwards. There's not much service required so people shouldn't expect too much. Prices are very reasonable, under $7 for a sandwich that will last me more than 1 meal. Will definitely go back and try their other sandwiches! Come here for the sandwiches and you will not be disappointed.
- Pros: cheap, yummy
- Cons: hard to find parking
love love love it

Honey Hole is all I really want in a restaurant. Great food, decent service, good drink specials, good atmosphere, late hours. I've had the Texas Tease a few times and love it. I've enjoyed these great lemonade-vodka-cherry drinks and love those too. It's somewhat small, but not too small. High ceilings, very dark and red, quirky decor but not trying overly hard to be hip. The bar is tiny and kinda tiki. The bartenders and wait staff are good. Prices are appropriate - good food and a lot of it.
- Pros: My fave place on Cap. Hill
- Cons: can't think of any
Ride the Waverider...
by choirboy_lap
I have been trying to vary what I order at places and get out of my rut. The waitress recommend the waverider to me, and it was REALLY good! Turkey, pesto, red peppers, & gouda. Can't beat a great sandwich that I never would have tried with out a little push. Thank Honey Hole.
Not a Good Experience

First they lost my order while i waited for 20 minutes missing work. Once i told them of the mistake they offered no appology, no refund, no coupon for a future order. When they finally did get to my sandwhich i got back to my office to find it was burnt to a crisp.
I lost time i away from work, spent my hard earned money, and ended up with a sandwhich I couldnt eat.
Last time i will go there.
- Pros: not much
- Cons: crappy service
Delicious! You have to check this place out.

My wife and I had been to the Honeyhole for drinks a few times, but never made it for lunch. We finally visited for lunch last week, and couldn't believe we had been missing this seattle gem for so long! The sandwiches were AWESOME and were very reasonably priced. The sandwiches come in two sizes which is especially convenient too. I can't wait to go back! I recommend this place for anytime of day...great food and great atmosphere.
Best damn food on Capitol Hill
by fabuleuxdestindetony
After living on Capitol Hill for two years I've found most of the restaurants up there to be unimpressive, with a few exceptions. Honeyhole is one exception. While their service has never been very good when I've gone in I really must say I don't care as much once the food arrives. The place is bustling and its kind of a nice place to people watch. The sandwiches are to die for and the french fries are among the top three ever. Go in expecting awesome food and mediocre service and this place will definitely not disappoint, especially not late at night when it is one of the few places open.
- Pros: French fries, People Watching, Open Late
- Cons: Poor service, Lots of smokers, Slightly Crowded
weekdays only!
by renas
All in all, the whole package is great. Price, service, atmosphere, quality, etc. I suggest going for lunch or weekdays, as the weekend bartender is THE WORST! his attitude ranges from aloof to plain hostile, and the clearly overserved loudmouths at the bar will make you want to order that sandwich to go. The waitstaff is friendly and unpretentious, but their charm, and the music are not enough to drown out the drunken social outcasts at the bar. i suggest going duning the week, when the pleasant, attentive bartenders are there, or sitting far far away from the bar. good food though, and a great neaghborhood joint!
the honeyhole rocks!!!!
by hroberts23
i have been going to the honeyhole for almost four years now and it is strange to read that some people find it gloomy:( the honeyhole is the most eccentric place in seattle. they play good music...the sandwiches, burgers, salads are of high quality and totally delicious!!! the service is unique....good service....the same people have worked there for years...shows me that it is a clean, nice environment for a job. if you take one minute to look around you will notice all of the small things that make the honeyhole the coolest place to be in seattle. besides all that there are always interesting , nice people to look at or chat with. i rate it a 10! i heart the honeyhole!!!!!
- Pros: good prices, clean bathrooms, atm machine
