My friends and I discovered this hole in the wall about 6 months ago and have been regulars on the weekends ever since. $2.50 jager/schnapps on a Saturday night? Yes please. The service can be a bit flaky but they make up for it in friendly attitude and freebies. There is also a collection of board games to play, which only become more fun as the night goes on. This is a great place for a cheap drink and a laid-back atmosphere on the weekends
Pros: Great drink specials on weekends, Friendly service
Cons: Often run out of types of beer, parking

Glad to see this place recently got named one of the top ethnic restaurants in the city by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. I was there last night after a show down the street and noticed they added some new items to the menu as well that I can't wait to try!
Pros: beer & liquor list, authenitc german food
Cons: parking

Perhaps this place made an effort to offer food that was meant for human consumption when it opened but those days are long past. What tries to pass for schnitzel would be more inconspicuous nailed to the bottom of a boot. The "german" potato salad was a hard pile of undercooked potatoes tossed with (are you ready for this?) MUSTARD! Go for the beer and stay far, far away from the food. There are other german pubs in the city that at least try to offer german food.

Last Monday night we had my brother's 30th birthday party here. It was a very large party and they went out of their way to accomodate us. They even gave us some birthday candles when we forgot to bring our own!.....The staff there is a class act and I will forever be a loyal patron of theirs!

The People's Pub rules. Great atmosphere, great staff, and fried pickles! I know, you're thinking, "fried pickles?" Just try them.... If you're a Virginia Tech Hokie (like me), the PP is even more special. They get all the games and you get a food and drink discount if you're wearing some Hokie digs (only during the games). The People's Pub also serves authentic German food and beer, so come down for a brat and a brew....I highly recommend the Spaten Optimator! Also, if you've got the late-night munchies, the hamburger is excellent and the serving of fries is enormous! Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com
Pros: Fried Pickles, Beer, Hokie Friendly

When you are craving brats or german sausage, this is the place to go. The brats are always dellicious, as are the sausage and cheese plate, the fries (huge plate- split them with a friend) and the fried pickle. The beer selection is also quite varied and large. The only drawback is that the bar is very stale-smoky and could use some ventilation.
Pros: Ballard, Brats
Cons: Smoky

I liked that place. We went there for my friend's birthday and really enjoied it. They have a great choice of German beer as well as good and tasty Shctnitzels. aiter were extremelly nice girl and she suggested several good beer choices. Atmosphere was quiet and nice (though we were there @ 5 p.m.) and it wasn't very crowdy. I would recommend you to check out their beers. Overall they were not pricy at all and we spend about $25-30 per person.
Pros: Great beer, Good meel, Nice atmosphere

All the pleasant German ambiance associated with King Ludwig's in Leavenworth is here. Love the ethnic food & Spaten Dopplebock. A bit of Bavaria in the middle of Scandanavia.
Pros: Ambiance, Brews, Brat

I've been going here for a while now, noticed they recently have started kitchen specials during the week - yummy! And they still have the best late night food around.
Pros: good food, late night eats, cheap drinks

Therer are only two bonuses about this place. 1 Jesse works here, and 2 the location. Someone needs to teach the bartenders how to make a proper bartenders margarita.
