I have dined here several times and enjoyed it every time. The service and food are always good. The wine list is interesting and well priced.

Pros: Food, Wine, Service

Cons: Parking can be hard to find

What a lovely place to dine. They've nailed down the ambiance factor, clean and modern yet with a slight country flair. The people were lovely. The wine selection was well rounded. I'm giving it four stars because I longed for something more on the menu. My ribeye was superb and my husbnad raved about his pork loin, but I really wanted something hearty and comforting. It could have been the rainy evening but my three small potatoes and array of steamed veggies didn't allow me to sink in and savor my meat. I didn't entirely get lost in my meal. I was happy, but I longed for more. Maybe I should;'ve tried the hair and chorizo...? Either way, it was a very overall good experience.

For $32 I got 2 small salads, 4 scallops and a slice of cheese cake. Oh ya tap water and some bread... I saw my main course was 4 scallops on top of salad AFTER I already ate a small salad. $5 worth of food for $32 is just a huge RIP OFF.... I will never go there again...

Cons: RIP OFF - GROSS FLOOR

My husband and I come here when we want a "date night." The prices are completely reasonable (less than $15/entree) and the food is delicious. We especially like the blue cheese flan thing on the appetizer menu, it's so cheesy, tangy and satisfying, and the rabbit dish with chorizo bread pudding, a meaty, slightly spicy entree. Sometimes we both get the rabbit. The wine list is pretty cheap, and they have good champagne cocktails which I like. I also like the decor inside, with winding vines and dark wood, very romantic!

I had an amazing meal last night at Eva. It was off the charts fresh, unique, delicious, and well worth the money. If you're looking for a not too pretentious setting, an affordable menu with small but delicious plates, go to Eva. The wine selection is superb, staff kind and on the ball, and the beauty and taste of each dish left us wanting to do it all over again next week.

Pros: comfortable, delicious

Cons: far from downtown

The creative, delicious food at Eva is to be savored and lingered over with one of thier extensive wine or single malt choices.

Pros: Creative menu, warm atmosphere

Cons: none!

That was the best word I could come up with to define our experience. Our waitress was nice enough but very lackluster. Since it is a wine bar, we figured there would be some sort of enthusiasm behind our wine order or suggestions about what wines we might enjoy. Other wine bars seem to celebrate wine, Eva just had a wine menu. I ordered a steak, medium that came out dry and overdone, garnished with a few veggies and some potatoes. I was glad there was some salt at the table. My husband ordered the tangine chicken, which was very tasty, but also very small. He ended up eating the rest of my steak. We did enjoy the dessert, nectarine creme but overall felt that the experience was just so-so. For fine dining in Seattle, Eva is not a stellar experience. Definetely not worth the price.

Pros: Good wine list, good location, tasty desserts

Cons: Lackluster service, ok food

This comfortable, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant offers a delectable selection of "Greek-inspired" dishes and a wonderful wine list to match. Flavors are expertly paired and everything tastes very fresh. Their rabbit is some of the best I've had. To top it all off, entrees are priced significantly lower than at comparable restaurants.

Amy is one of the best chef's I've encountered in all my years of being a serious foodie in Seattle, NY, and San Francisco. Her husband James provides a highly varied and interesting list of wines (including tons of half bottles!) that will always please you. These two are serious about food and wine and bring a world of flavors to every experience at Eva. I have a great meal everytime I step foot in their restaraunt which always leads me to tell (okay yell to) myself, 'i've got to get in here more often!' Note to Amy: Raise your prices: The entrees are underpriced for the amazing taste and high quality of ingredients!

Pros: Great Selection of Half Bottles of Wine, Amazing combination of northwest, french

Cons: None

Editor's Review

A quietly classy dinner spot and wine bar on Tangletown's main drag serves Mediterranean meals and tremendous desserts.  See the full editorial review.

Insider Tips

What to Drink

There's a lengthy--and eminently affordable--wine list of by-the-glass, half- and whole bottles; also worth a spin is the Eva Classic cocktail, made with Pacific Echo Brut champagne, Mextaxa 5-star and bitters.
