Too limited!
by poodieboo at Citysearch
The ambiance is lovely, the service was good and the food tasted fine the menu was too limited. You have your choice of two appetizers, two salads, a soup and six entrees. The Kobe beef that was raved about comes in the form of a burger! A tasty burger but not what I had been hoping for. The filet comes with a salad and fries as the side, we had already ordered a salad before dinner. I would have rather seen a few more choices of steaks and some veggies as sides. The wine and bar menus are amazing though.
- Pros: ambiance, service, location
- Cons: , not a quick eat, sides
MOUTH-WATERING KOBE BEEF!!
by vonz at Citysearch
I don't even know how to start describing the taste of the Snake River Farms Kobe Beef. Its luscious.... For those who likes to eat beef, you have to try this one.. Order them rare(or med. rare) ... Yummy... Just in case anyone never heard of Kobe beef, go to google, type : "Definition: Kobe beef" <--- you will understand why. Oh..by the way, the service and atmosphere are great (but who cares about that, if the food is that great) :) Oh!! If you dont like rare beef, you better dont bother spend the money.
Sweeping spaces, magnificent modern art and cozy booths create an appropriate setting for modern Northwest meals.

The Scene
The spacious multilevel bar and restaurant flows together gracefully as bubble-themed glass art cascades down the walls. Deep, muted colors, snug booths and high ceilings combine elegance and comfort. Quiet solo diners are common, but boisterous larger groups are standard during conventions. Lunch servers are a casual bunch, but dinner pulls out the stops--no matter how many full tables, there's enough staff to keep up with the rush.
The Food
A seasonal menu highlights local ingredients combined for intense contrasts of texture and flavor. Chunky beets and Maytag blue cheese hits the right sweet-salty note; continue on to either a tender Kobe steak with tangy balsamic reduction or a standard slab of ahi, accompanied by roasted peppers stuffed with sweet, buttery crab. Desserts are more spicy than sweet, and include a smooth Cream of Wheat cake with Ceylon cinnamon ice cream and a crepe-wrapped rice pudding.

Another fantastic addition to the downtown Seattle restaurant scene. Food is excellent, drinks are some of the best in town in my opinion. Great atmosphere. Great for happy hour. Great bar, friendly staff.
- Pros: drinks, food, atmosphere
Not So Veggie Friendly Anymore
by veg at Citysearch
My husband and I used to like to eat at 727 because we both could have a delicious, gourmet meal (he being a carnivore and me being a vegetarian). I am disappointed that they have taken the vegetarian tasting menu off the menu. The kitchen wasn't flexible (most restaurants will bend over backwards to create something special) and my request for something vegetarian was largely ignored. I ended up having to order from the bar menu, while my husband had the Kobe beef (which he said was fantastic). Pizza and Saint Joseph wine. Not the best combo. I will say that the sommelier was fantastic and our waiter was truly apologetic. It's a bummer that we won't be back, because we really used to like the joint!
- Pros: Fabulous Ambiance, Great Location, Great Wine List
A True Fine Dining Experience
by jewal at Citysearch
We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful earthy colors and modern styling of the restaurant. The warm intimate lighting. Friendly, helpful service. The food was artistically presented and was a feast for the eye as well as the palate. Extensive wine list has something for everyone. We felt this was a must dining "experience" for those people who truly enjoy food with complex, wonderful flavor in a cozy setting. Perfect for a dinner for two (like us!) or a gathering of several. Highly recommended by us!
- Pros: Beautiful Food, Friendly Service, Close to Parking
- Cons: Somewhat Expensive
It was really good!
by megalosaur at Citysearch
We've tried lots of restaurants and this was one of the best. Good appetizers, good steaks, good service, and they got us out in time for us to go to the theater. Don't miss the BBQ sauce with the steak: it is different than the typical Seattle fare. Excellent and reasonably priced wine list. The lobster tortilla appetizer was wonderful. Give it a try!
- Pros: excellent food, good service, excellent wine list
not as inventive as it wants to be
by wksh at Citysearch
727 pine is not nearly as inventive as it wants to be. went once with some friends before going to see a movie; we all ordered something different and none of us were terribly impressed. presentation is great, but the food itself was mundane. also, the vegetarian options are extremely limited (only one vegetarian item offered on the menu!!), which seems problematic for such a green city!
