Douglas is the BEST, believe the reviews!!

I went to Douglas on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad I did! I cannot write enough positive things about him and the haircut.

I was nervous about changing my hairstyle. After a few bad salon experiencfes, I've kept the same safe boring haircut.

I brought him a picture and we talked about what I wanted before he started working. I wanted to keep my hair longer and I've experienced stylists who do what they want rather than what I want so I end up with a short cut I hate. Not Douglas. The first thing he said was I love long hair. I got bangs and layers just like the photo and I look like a total bombshell.

He made me feel totally at ease and comfortable. Douglas is an artist and an expert in what he does. I apprecited him explaining what he was doing and he didn't over product my hair so I was able to easily recreate what he did at home.

This was the best salon experience I've had. I LOVE my new hairstyle. I've gotten compliments from everyone. It is a major upgrade.

I work 6 days a week, he came in on his day off to do my hair. He also offered to stay late one night. I haven't found any other person in town who is willing to do that. Such a fun experience, I love the products (Lanza) and really love my new hairstyle.

Love love love!

I work down the street so I've known about this awesome salon for a while but hadn't been in for a haircut because the salon I've been going to for years is cheaper and, well, I'm poor.

Well, yesterday my longtime hairstylist ignored my pleas to keep my length and chopped off my hair leaving me with an awkward bob that was heavy in all the wrong places. I wandered into Cowboys and Angels heartbroken and teary eyed and Douglas was an absolute angel. Even though he was booked solid the next day, he told me to come in early and he would fix my hair mess. He squeezed me in while another client was under the dryer and in the space of about 30 minutes total he managed to talk to me about what I really wanted, give me a conditioning treatment AND turn my sad little bob into a GORGEOUS sassy bob that fills me with joy instead of making me want to cry every time I look in the mirror.

Well I sure feel silly for ever not going here because having a hairdresser that actually LISTENS to what you want and is ridiculously talented and knowledgable as well is honestly priceless. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for a haircut ever again.

I'm in love

Yes, Everyone...I'm in love. Every time I see him, he makes me feel beautiful. He plays with my hair and gives me a neckrub. Listens to me. Compliments me on my shoes. Tells me I'm sexy. I look forward to seeing him for days and days before our date. His name is Lyndon Davis, and he is the most spectacular hairdresser in the world!

I came to Lyndon after several color mishaps, 4 to exact. Each colorist told me they could fix my color. I have long, thick hair, and was given the wrong color (permanent, rather than semipermanent, and several shades too dark, nearly black) more than a year ago. I was colored over...I was deep conditioned...I was told to let it grow out...

Thank sweet Jesus that Lyndon knew exactly what to do. And the most important thing ever: he didn't lie to me. He was honest. Talked to me about what was reasonable to expect. We spent two long sessions together, several weeks apart, but I am happy to report that my hair is absolutely stunning. I get turn-around looks on the street. For real. I am the envy of every woman I know.

Now, that I've written this, you better not clog up Lyndon's appointment book. You'll have to stand in line behind ME!

THE BEST

I’ve been going to Douglas for 20 years now and I have never been disappointed. He is a genius with hair and incredibly creative. I’ve never known anyone with such knowledge of hair – from the inside out. My cuts have been amazing and my hair color…wow what can I say? Really, words don’t do it justice. I love-love-love red hair! And he has taken it to so many incredible levels. Right now it's punk rock red, something I’ve always wanted to do. And with the different layers he added make it just stunning. I work on the first floor at the Downtown Macy's, and I have gotten a ton of compliments! Daily and from all age groups. The topper was while riding with a friend in her car, we were waiting for a light. A couple next to us on a Harley yelled out to me that they really LOVED my color! Needless to say, I highly recommend Douglas - you will never be disappointed. You will love your hair and feel great about yourself! He’s the best!

Very happy (and newly gorgeous) redhead

I decided to try Cowboys and Angles in March of this year, and really wish I'd done this years ago. In 4 months, my hair looks better than it has in years (many people say they know how to do good red color and don't) my hair is in the best condition in years (due to excellent teaching by Douglas) and I've learned how to do styling from both Douglas and Linden because they genuinely LOVE what they do. I've been blown away each time by how much they truly like making women feel gorgeous. I'm not sure why I haven't been going for years, but I am soooo happy that C and A are in my neighborhood! Thank you Douglas!!!

Just the Best

I have been going to Douglas for a number of years and every time I have walked out feeling 5'10'' and gorgeous which is saying a lot for someone 4'11''. I went in a couple of weeks ago and because of just everything I was feeling fragile, vunerable and (the worst word a woman can hear) frumpy. I told Douglas that I needed a new "me". And after much back and forth, which is really just talking with a dear friend, because though Douglas always knows best, he really wants us to be ready for the magic he is about to pull off, he found the new "me". I walked out feeling sassy, sexy, strong and confindent. And he gave me a look I can easily pull off all by myself. What more could one ask for.

Lyndon is phenomenal!

Lyndon gave my hair a complete makeover and wow! The cut, color and overall ambiance is perfect for who I really am - my personality and my work. I'm thrilled! Plus, he gives the greatest shampoo! I like a really good scrub, and he knows how to give you a pressured or light touch wash, whichever you prefer. Lots of stylists just don't have the strength to stimulate your scalp properly, but he does! As well as having the "eye" for what serves your hair and your appearance best! Very importantly, his rates are reasonable, which makes him affordable! I also enjoy the homey feel of the salon - and it's not overlit. Thank you, Lyndon!

Love my hair!

Douglas has been cutting and coloring my hair for a couple years now, so I'm a bit remiss that I haven't left a fabulous review for this salon yet. My hair looks great and always draws compliments. Douglas really "gets" my hair and doesn't try to make it do something that it won't, but works with it to make it look it's best (and me look my best too!) I love too that I can leave the salon looking great without over poofed (poofed I think that is a word) hair that is not my style. Thanks Douglas!

Love my hair - LOVE it!!

I found this salon when we ate dinner at Yanni's Greek restaurant. My waitress had fabulous, fun, interesting and wild hair. I finally asked her who cut her hair, and she told me, "Douglas - next door!" I had worn my hair nearly the same way for 6 years and needed a change,. I wanted something different - something spunkier, more lively, more interesting. When I told him that, he said, "I can do different!" Check out the website for lots of examples of his great work.

It may sound overblown, but it is absolutely true that I am never disappointed. I always get a great and truly unique, fun cut that draws complements all the time. I've never had so many people tell me they love my hair. He's really one of the very best hairdressers I've ever known. Great knowledge, style and ability, always creative and fun to work with and really caring. It just doesn't get any better than that!
