Such a shame that the drinks on drink cover are High!
by richard98101 at Citysearch
I really, really, really wish the folks would eliminate the drink cover, making the drinks less costly and then it would all be perfect.
- Pros: Perfect except for the drinks
- Cons: High price for drinks and the $10.00 per person cover on the
Wonderful Show, Great Food - Watch out for Drink Prices!!
by andrachel at Citysearch
I'm going to start out with the positives. Read below for the negatives. If you drink while you're out - don't skip that over!
My friend and I never go out to shows, so we decided to treat ourselves and try this out. We are so happy that we did! Teatro ZinZanni was a wonderful show! Well worth the money for 3 hours of entertainment & a 5 course meal. I read the reviews before we purchased, checked out the website & thought it would be fun. I read that there would be a $10 per person dining room service charge & was prepared to pay for that. The food was overall wonderful! The appetizer was the Medley of Marjoram & Buttered Smoked Trout on Toast. This was really flavorful and tasted great! We did find a few bones in there though. The 2nd course was Carrot & Ginger soup. I was skeptical about this one, but it was really delicious! The salad looked like I wouldn't like it, but it was pretty good! I just made sure to mix the greens into the dressing really well. We both chose the New York Steak for dinner, it was served with Syrah Jam. I don't like wine & was really worried I wouldn't like it at all, but the jam was really sweet & didn't taste like wine at all. I was so surprised! It was great! For Dessert they served Lemon Meringue, it was almost like lemon tart topped with Meringue. It was really pretty good! I don't really like Lemon Desserts, but it was pretty tasty! ***NEGATIVE: We ordered 4 champagne drinks each (not spendy champagne either). Our bill came out to be $149.00!!!! Keep in mind the show was already paid for!!! We had a picture taken which was $20& the $20 dining service charge, so $109 for 8 drinks....gulp! A little more spendy than we had inticipated. ***So here's your warning! Beware of the drink prices! The show and food was fabulous! The bill for drinks was not! - Pros: Food, Service, and the Singing/Entertainment
- Cons: Drink Prices!!!
Spectacular Evening!

Me and my boyfriend attended a showing of A Rosa de Rio for my birthday and had an excellent time! The food was served with flair and tasted delicious. I can't say enough about the performers! I was either laughing or screaming and sometimes singing along. The money was well spent for a night out and for what we got in return--I haven't had such a night of classy entertainment in years. I would say it's a must see.
Best night out in Seattle by far!!

My husband and I went to Teatro with a group of friends at the end of March 2008 and we had a great time!!! The tent, the service, the food and the show were all amazing! The group sales lady - Kristine was really helpful. See you at the new show this summer!
What happened?!?!?!
by cdog206 at Citysearch
This used to be a go-to event, not anymore! Show was very "high-school" and the food was horrible. I last went to Zinzani 4 years ago and it was excellent. Now, it's on par with a medieval dinner show in the south. The only thing that was missing was a couple of jousters and some lame Excalibur act.
Boo Zinzani, and BOOOOO Tom Douglas for putting your name on that horrible food.
Would not recommend until they get back to basics.
- Pros: Nothing, a complete waste of time. Many left early
- Cons: Everything! AVOID!!!
A spectacular gem in the heart of Seattle that is not to be missed.

Teatro Zinzanni is a rare and vanishing art form unlike any other show I've seen. The mix of song, dance, comedy and cirque will more than entertain you over the three hour show. The combination of the show with a five course meal is more than worth the ticket price. I've spent more on tickets to performances alone where I was ready to walk out. Quite the opposite in this case you'll find yourself not wanting the show to end. Just a note for first time visitors the ten dollar per guest charge after the show covers the dinner portion of the evening. Evidently in the past folks may not have realized the ticket fee does not include gratuity and left the wait staff high and dry. If you order from the bar consider that this ten dollar gratuity does not cover your bar tab as well. The wait staff must make a living as well right? Having been five times I'd say it was worth every penny. It will be a sad day in Seattle when TZ rolls up the antique jewel box tent and moves on to the next location.
- Pros: Amazing show! Good menu and loads of fun.
Great Entertainment!
by it0730 at Citysearch
I went for the first time and it was more than I expected. A little on the pricey side, but being a three hour show and a dinner, it was worth it. The entertainment was unlike any other! Just be careful when you spend money on drinks and pictures. It adds up to quite a bit. I was very entertained. Because we sat in a booth, the seats were a kinda hard. Plus, the main action takes place in the middle of the tent so make sure you're facing it so you're not cranking your neck all night. All in all, it was amazing! There was so much going on all the time I was more busy watching the show than paying attention to the food. Some of the dishes were very yummy, but some were kinda bland. Overall, a wonderful experience that everyone has to try at least once. I would definitely go again. Because they change the show every 3-4 months, it gives me a reason to :)
FABULOUS!

Bravo bravo bravo!!! You cannot go wrong if you choose a night out in the Teatro ZinZanni tent!!! This may seem pricey to you, but well, well worth every single penny spent. Just get out your credit card and get there!!! You will not regret it.
Best Show in Town

Teatro Zinzanni is quite simply a local experience not to be missed. A super-talented mix of Eastern European, French, American and other international performers - some of whom are alumni if Cirque du Soleil and other internationally well known performance groups - provide an evening of entertainment and experience that will last a lifetime.
The characters of Teatro Zinanni fill the evening with fun, laughter, and amazing spectacle. The format offers a five-course gourmet meal, and the Zinzanni Troupe provides an overwhelming flood of experience for the other senses both during, and in-between courses. Nowhere else in Seattle - or anywhere nearby - will you get a better value, or better entertainment experience.
The evening starts with an appetizer (first course), and drink service. As others have noted, drink service is not included in the meal/show ticket price - which is inarguably more than one might pay either for a broadway show or a five-star meal in town. Keep in mind however - here you get both, and over the course of over three hours. The Wine Flight, a carefully chosen selection of wines to go with each course, is a terrific value, and allows you to sample these Sommalier selected wines from all over the world, in quantities that won't leave you stumbling at the end of the night.
Whether you are a native Seattleite, just visiting or entertaining visitors - Teatro Zinanni will provide memories to last a lifetime.
- Pros: Unique, quality theater and gourmet experience.
- Cons: Some seating provides better views than others. Price, though an excellent value, is high.
Come for the show, not the food
by nowa07 at Citysearch
The show was a lot of fun, the food was mediocre.
The first course was good.
The second course (Pasta) was cold and needed salt.
The third course was OK.
The main course was ok, but not very hot, and my steak was a bit tough.
The dessert was the best part of the meal.
Warning: my date and I each only had one drink, what I didn't realize at the time was there was a $10 automatic tip per person for beverage orders. So he had one glass of wine, and I had one cocktail, and it was over $40.
If you're going to order a drink - make it worth it and order more than one.
- Pros: interactive, constant
- Cons: $10 per person auto beverage tip, mediocre food
