With the combination of BAD food and high prices; why would anyone come here? If you like getting sick and paying an arm and a leg for food then this is the place for you! My suggestions, crab mac and cheese which was too rich from the crab being far too old for consumption; and the spinach salad which tasted fine at the time but both dishes made me sick for the next two days on separate occasions. Even though I dined there almost two months apart and had completely different en trees each time, I spent the better part of the evening in the restroom as opposed to at a table. This restaurant clearly depends on it's ambiance and high prices, and NOT quality too survive. Somebody check too see if these people have food handler permits.

Pros: Nice View

Cons: Food Poisening

There were 4 of us. I ordered the Calimari appetizer, and my boyfriend and two friends ordered drinks. Our waitress was obviously flustered and wasn't writing anything down. She brought the wrong drink to my boyfriend, and it took her a long time to get it fixed. Our dinners were ordered right after we got our correct drink order. Me and my girlfriend ordered the Mahi Tacos, both of us requested NO cheese and NO sour cream since we are both lactose intolerant. Dinner was served before we were done with the appetizer, which not really was a problem except that they forgot my dinner. When I had to remind them, it came out with an obviously scrapped off patch of sourcream on the plate. My girlfriends was brought WITH sour cream and had to be sent back. My cole slaw had a scallop in it. My friends had raw tuna (it was sushi grade, but she doesn't like sushi and it WASN'T supposed to be there in the first place). She sent her plate back for a second time. It AGAIN came out with sourcream after we had told the MANAGER NO SOUR CREAM! She gave up at this point. During all of this, our waitress never offered to refill any waters and didn't refill a pepsi that had been requested and was sitting as close to the end of the table to make it easier for her. The manger decided to comp the one Mahi Taco order that had been sent back twice and he comped my appetizer to make up for the "scallop" in my food. When we got our check, the had added on the drink that we did NOT order and I sent it back right away. my mistake, I should have looked a bit harder. When I got the check back, I realized that they had also charged me for "extra tacos" on my Mahi order which I DID NOT order. I paid the bill just to get out of there. I called my credit card company as soon as I walked out and told them about the service and that I wanted to dispute the charges because it was THAT terrible.

Pros: Its a GREAT view...

Cons: Terrible service, they go for Volume and not Quality at ALL

My boyfriend and I have been to the BluWater Bistro in Greenlake a few times over the past six months. For the lack of a better casual, but nice dinner spot we have taken family members there when they have come to visit from out of town. The location is wonderful but the service and the food terrible. A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I decided to go there for dessert and coffee at around 8:30pm. When we sat down and our server realized we were only going to order coffee and dessert she immediately lost her friendly charm. When she brought out the dessert and poured our coffee the ENTIRE coffee container was filled with coffee grounds. It was so obvious she had to have noticed… we certainly did when we found a good ¼ inch of grounds at the bottom of our coffee mugs. The ice cream that came with the brownie for dessert was completely frostbitten. But worst of all, the server didn’t even come and check on us once or ask how anything was. She must have known she was providing terrible food and terrible service. It is just too bad they can’t treat all customers (whether they are there for dessert or a $200 meal) the same. Although we were only buying dessert that particular evening we have spent over $500.00 there over the past few months--- don’t waste your time at this one if you want good service and good food. There are certainly better restaurants in Seattle!

Pros: Nice Location

Cons: Rude Staff, Terrible Food

Wow, this place has changed. It's been a while since I've been to the Bistro and - while I never thought it was the best restaurant in town - it always supplied a nice atmoshphere and some pretty tasty food. I just got home from having dinner there tonight and was so moved (or unmoved) by the meal that I am writing my first review on Citysearch. The service was ok - definitely friendly. But, the waitress was scarce. The food was really terrible. Bland all around. Just blah. Banal, boring, dull, flat, and flavorless. Seriously, not good. We all tried each others' meals and each one was tasteless. There are SO many restaurants in Seattle that serve better food at a lower price.

The food here is good and consistent. The décor and location makes for fun destination. THE SERVICE IS AWFUL. The wait staff is not just apathetic, they’re rude. I have been in on several occasions and have been completely ignored in either being sat or waiting to place an order - they just seem to have better things to do, chatting it up amongst themselves or with a handful of cherished regulars. In the past it was a frequent dinner destination (I estimate spending about $1000-1200 over the course of the year 2006) It’s a shame because I live in Green Lake and would frequent the bar and restaurant more often if it weren’t for all the false haughtiness and contempt the wait staff seem to uniformly display. I must say that I have enjoyed my dining experience at Blu Water’s Leschi and Kirkland locations - but definitely not Green Lake.

Pros: Consistent and reliable menu

Cons: overtly rude wait staff

I choose this restaurant for my birthday dinner, approximately 7 people came. We had requested to sit in the front of the restaurant 1 week in advance when we made the reservation, but when we arrived we were seated in the back. The waitress was very impatient and rude when taking our orders. I asked to change my order after ~5 minutes after ordering and I was told “No”. She didn’t smile or make any effort to be nice to us. When the dessert came, she placed it on the table and the chocolate began to burn, (I ordered the chocolate fondue), it took 10 min. for us to find her. When we told her about the chocolate, she picked up the container off the burner and dropped it onto our table. She then proceeded to pick up a glass of water that my friend had been drinking out of and extinguished the flame. All without saying a word, then she walked away. It took us over 20 minutes to get the bill from the time we requested it. The gratuity was automatically charged, which is why I think she treated us so poorly. We spent over $200 and were treated worse then if we had gone to McDonald’s. When I wrote a letter to complain, I received no response. Not even an apology. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion unless you would like your night to be ruined.

Pros: Window seating at the front of the restaurant

Cons: Service/Customer Service, staffing, response to complaints from customers, did not follow through with requests made during the reservations

Had a very pleasant experience dining here recently. Our table of 8 all enjoyed our meals, drinks, and service. Nice selection of cocktails and wine. Bluewater Greenlake has a very reasonable corkage fee of $10.00 per bottle, we brought a couple of special bottles of wine with us to have with our meal. Mixed green salad was chilled, fresh, crisp and not overly dressed. My generous portion of roast chicken was moist and tender, although I would have liked a crispy skin. Potato side was quite good. My wife's stuffed mahi mahi was perfectly cooked. Our bread pudding dessert was huge and delicious. I'm not a fan of the Lake Union Bluewater, but do give the Greenlake location a try.

The classic eggs benedict was barely even warm when I got it and the English muffins were drenched in melted butter (not hollandaise. it was butter. there was some hollandaise sauce schlopped on top though). The $15 crab mac and cheese tasted OK but there wasn't much crab in there to justify the price. I came here because I liked the one in Leschi but the food here just wasn't that great and that is probably why there weren't many people there on a beautiful day.

Pros: nice area

Cons: parking, food
