When someone gives you a quote of a certain amount it will cost before working on the vehicle, this doesn't mean once the mechanic looks under the hood of your vehicle, that he won't see other problems that you or he never knew about. The customer isn't working on the car to know what is going on with it, the mechanic has to do that. I know there are some businesses out there that are cut throats because I have worked for some of them types of shops in the past; but there are some shops that aren't cut throats and Emerald City Auto Repair isn't one of the bad guys you feel they are. It seems to me that you may have gone to a few repair shops in the past that did you wrong, and due to that, you assumed Emerald City Auto Repair was doing the same to you because they came across some other issues with your vehicle that needed attention.

Just got my car back from Emerald City! These guys rock! Michael and the other staff are the nicest mechanics I believe I've ever come across. Zero attitude, unlike most mechanics. Honest prices, fast service, highly recommended!!

Pros: Parking, Service, Polite, Fast

Cons: none to date!

The owner of Emerald City Auto Repair gave me a verbal quote and when the work was done, he came up with a different price. $400 difference to his benefit. I don't feel I can trust a person who is not of their word. Consumers beware!

I'm pretty picky about who I trust I was very impressed with the service and friendly atmosphere at Emerald City. The repairs were completed at a very competitive price. I shopped around before having the repairs completed. The facility is very cool filled with memorabilia and I found the service personnel friendly and showed a great deal of interest in solving my car troubles. Michael wrote up my vehicle and provide me a free 27 point inspection along with the needed repairs. He gave me a list of other needed repairs and prioritized the importance. I liked the attention because of the genuine smaller business attitude displayed. I highly recommend Emerald City Auto Repair and with my vehicles.

Nice enough people. Good price. Not quality work. This shop changed my power steering pump, but not the 40 year old power steering hose going into the pump that blew a leak one day after the work was performed. The hose can only really be changed easily when the pump is out. After the last work I had done here I went to pick up my car only to find out they had left the drivers side door open, they had not turned off my battery switch off switch, and no attempt had been made to lock my car. Later I discovered that they had also not put the air cleaner on correctly or even tightened it down. As if this was not the end of it, when I went to get gas the gas cap was not even on. It was just "set" there. The work I had done was priming a fuel pump which is why the must have taken the gas cap off. When I confronted the gentleman at the front desk about my door he agreed with me that it was not okay and then proceeded to go "have a talk with the mechanic who left it open". This consisted of opening the shop door, stepping in for about six seconds and saying "never mind" to the mechanic. I will no longer take my cars to this shop.

I took my car in to get an appraisal on what was wrong with it. What was really great was that they took the time out to give me a ride back to my work. Michael called to tell me that it wasn't fixable. He was gave me options of what to do with it, towing, or try and drive it home (not possible being 20 miles away). I had to make arrangements to get it towed, and they had no problem with letting me have it stay there. They are really nice people and I will take all my business there from now on. Thanks Emeral City!!

I had my classic 1978 Ford F-150 Ranger break down in Seattle 80 miles from my home. Very relucant to take it anywhere since I had little choice. I searched around and found this place. I went inside and admired the old nostalgic gas pumps and a very friendly person behind the counter. I stated that I simply wanted an estimate to determine if it was benefical to have it repaired here or haul it back to my home town some 80 miles away. His estimate was fair and fast. I checked with my mechanic back home and ran the prices by him...Emerald City was right on target. This was a good value on cost. Afterwards I could not be more pleased with the small town friendly service I received AND the special attention my truck recieved! As a result I received excellent service, excellent work all with a good value on price and all in a very timely fashion. As a store Emerald City offers not only excellent work, excellent service, but good value as well!

I manage a large fleet of cars and trucks for our business and when I saw one of my competitors vehicles at Emerald city auto repair I decided to give them a try for our business. The best move we have ever made when it comes to the maintenance and repair of our vehicles. VERY fast service and the correct repairs at an affordable price!! Saved me a lot of time, money and hassles with me keeping up on our vehicles service and maintenance records as they do that for me by sending me reminders when our vehicles are due for service!! They are a repair facility that not only does the maintenance but I trust them to do everything on our vehicles from oil changes to major repairs of all kinds. Give them a try you will not be sorry you did.

Pros: 2 thumbs up A real automotive repair shop that does the job right the first time!!

A great group of people! The place is really clean with an awsome decor, something fun to look at while you wait for you car. They always make me feel welcome regardless of how busy they are, they will drop what they are doing to help you. Great service every time. I have taken every car I own there and won't go anywhere else. I consider them family!!!! I really recommend them.....it's always hard to find a good auto shop, these guys are great!

I went to see the guys and gals at Emerald city auto repair after a lady I work with told me about them. They were very fast to diagnose and repair my car properly and at a fair price. I felt very comfortable with the staff, being a woman I have felt like I was being taken advantage of in the past at other repair shops and was very relieved to find out this auto shop was owned by a woman. I will be sure and tell all of my friends and family about Emerald City Auto repair.
