Natayla is the best!

I am picky as hell about my hair. I can't tell you how many people cannot cut short hair on a woman so I was a little nervous going in, not knowing if this would be another one of those crappy stylists. The receptionist recommended Natalya because she said she is good with short hair. She was right! The cut is perfect and she took the time to discuss how to style my hair and what products to use. She even offered to color my hair. I am so confident in her, I am taking a chance and scheduled an appt to have it done. I have a colorist so this is quite a risk for me, but I think it will be worth it.

Dawn is an artist!

Dawn's been cutting my hair for nearly five years. We started long and "grew" short. I felt like I was walking off the edge of a cliff when I cut my long hair off yet something inside me really wanted to take the dive. I loved the way Dawn encouraged that spiritedness. I appreciate the way she listens so attentively. She offers me so much creativity and time - I can tell she really cares how I look. I feel lighter & younger when I walk out the door.

The best cut, style, wax!!!!

I had the best hair cut and wax.Lucy, Juel, Heidi they all are amazing at what they do, i never go to anyone else except for lucy for wax, heidi does a great job with styling too, my style lasted for two days :)... so yes i love the salon and the everyone working there.

Jamie is an amazing stylist!

When I moved to the Seattle area from the East Coast three years ago, I was in a panic trying to find a new hair stylist. I'm very particular about my hair. It has to be stylish and low maintenance. After bouncing around a few salons in the area, I read the reviews on Citysearch and gave Salon Tewl a call.

The wonderful front desk staff referred me to Jamie, who I've been seeing for 2.5 years now. She is simply amazing! Jamie has given me a wide variety of cuts and all-over color or highlights, depending on my budget and whatever new look I might want. She's awesome at balancing my ideas with what will look good on me (my face shape and coloring). She's even been helping me through a grow-out, as I go from super-short to shoulder-length hair. Even during what would be an awkward hair stage, I get compliments on my cut and color!

Since going to Jamie, everyone I've referred to her has loved her. She's awesome with a wide variety of men and women at any stage in life, and can do more conservative or trendy styles, depending on what you want. I've seen other stylists in the salon ask her for coloring advice and she's never failed me on a product recommendation! She also frequently sends out coupons for discounts on her services.

All of the front desk staff at Salon Tewl are great and make you feel welcome from the first time you call. It's an upscale salon without feeling stuffy, and everyone always has a smile on their face. I cannot recommend this salon or Jamie highly enough - if you have any doubts, pick up the phone right now and schedule an appointment with Jamie! You'll love her!

Heidi Wipf is a miracle worker

I am an extremely picky person and when I have a picture in my mind I want it to match exactly. All my life I have been let down by hair dressers, but not Heidi.

She listened to my description and did what I asked for. I will never go to anyone else again and would feel comfortable referring anyone I know to go to her.

SHE IS VERY TALENTED AND CARES!

Simply the Best

Dawn has been my colorist/stylist for 8 years. I followed her when she joined Salon Tewl.

She is especially great with curly hair...understands the neurosis that comes from coping with curls in this climate.

Dawn's skill is complimented by a friendly, professional staff in a calm, relaxed, never-stuffy environment.

Lucy is the most AMAZING waxer I have EVER seen!!!

Lucy is fantastic! I heard about her when she did an appearance on the Bob Rivers radio show as being the "wax diva!" I called and made an appointment right after hearing her interview! She is fabulous! my eyebrows have never looked better. She is very honest and she knows what looks good! My biggest fear when getting my brows waxed has always been overplucking/waxing and she makes sure not to do that. She works with the shape of your face and features and natural brow shape and she just makes them look absolutely flawless! Also, she uses hard wax which I had never heard of before seeing her and honestly I would never go back to cloth strips, she is very quick and fun to talk to. It feels like you are visiting with one of your best girlfriends and catching up. I will forever be a client with Lucy! she is spectacular, and there is no one else around like her!

Dawn is a Master!

I thank my lucky stars that I found Dawn 6 years ago. Dawn is a master at color and cut. I have curly hair and she knows how to cut it to make it look its best and the color always looks very natural which I love. She also does an amazing job drying my hair straight for a whole new look. I highly recommend Dawn and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Natalya is the best!

I was referred by a friend to see Natalya at Salon Tewl in Bellevue. The salon has a relaxing atmosphere. Natalya asked me what kind of style I wanted and she also recommended several different styles that she thought might look good on me. She was clear and direct in her communication and I trusted her suggestions. We decided to go with a style that looks conservative during the workweek, but cool & modern when I go out at night on the weekends. My hair looks much more stylish and modern now! I feel more handsome & confident. I've also had several compliments from my friends, family and co-workers.

I've had several hair stylists over the past 10 years, but it's hard to find one that I really like. Natalya is now my stylist and she is the best. Thanks, Natalya!!!

Great highlights, not so great cut...

I just moved to the area recently and after seeing my stylist in Portland, OR for a couple of years, I was really hoping to find a stylist as fabulous as she was. I decided to go to Salon Tewl because of all of the great reviews and I was scheduled to see Natalya for highlights. She herself was extremely friendly and overall a very nice girl. She and I had great conversation the entire time. My highlights took a long time but turned out great ...but then she told me she was going to touch up my layers because she said they looked like "steps" in the back and she wanted to blend them in a little. I, of course, agreed because she's a pro and I was sure she would make it look even better than I thought it already was. Unfortunately, I ended up with really choppy looking hair and she completely cropped my bangs! I told her I didn't want them too short and now, I have to bobby pin them so that they don't land right in my eyeballs. I understand that she's a professional and all but shouldn't you always listen to your clients so that we get what we want instead of what you think we should want? She told me long bangs weren't stylish anymore but I can't say the choppy bangs I have now are all that flattering. Anyway, my highlights look great but my bangs and choppy cut bum me out so much that it almost overshadows the great highlights and that's unfortunate.
