wow. HORRIBLE customer service! We went in and got a tour from a nice man and were seriously thinking about signing up UNTIL the guy told us the prices. Even then we were still willing to think about it, even though the sign up costs were almost $500 for two people, but then he started getting pushy and actually started asking us how much money we had on us! We had to tell him 4 TIMES that we weren't THEN I found their two week free guest pass on here and thought, "Well maybe I'll try it still and see if it's worth it." So I called and they told me that SINCE I HAD ENTERED THE GYM that I wasn't eligible for the guest pass! Even though I had never worked out there before, and only been inside once for 10 minutes to look at the equipment. I explained (3 times because I thought she was confused and maybe thought I had worked out there before) that I would like to use the guest pass so I could make an informed decision about joining (which is the point of it right?) , and I was told again that it wasn't possible and "only for people who haven't been inside the gym yet". Uh, what? Yeah they had a lot of equipment, but that's it. I'd rather go somewhere else where the employees leave me alone rather than be pushy and rude.
Pros: LOTS of equipment
Cons: Didnt look very clean. BAD customer relations and reaaally pushy employees.

I wish I could give them no stars. I called to inquire about membership and the young lady that answered the phone was pleasent but the person she transferred me to was awful. "Rob" told me I was calling too late at night. He also tried to avoid what the cost of membership by saying they had 30 different kinds and it would be too difficult to explain them all and that I would need to come in to talk to everyone. I'm sorry but if I have to have a freaking interview with the entire staff to join a gym forget it. In addition Rob wouldn't even listen to me he just kept talking over me. I like supporting local business rather than the mega corporations but there is no way in hell I would ever join this gym and I would discourge anyone and everyone else to find another gym. If I'm treated like trash before joining I can't imagine how they treat their members. It wouldn't surprise me if this company is out of business in 5 years. You can't treat people like human garbage in an economy where disposible income is limited and expect to stay in business. Rob and the rest of the rest of the staff at the LakeCity Gym can kiss my...

I do not know where to begin. I became a member initially because of the low fees. While the gym is clean, has a large array of equipment and a wide selection of classes, the staff could not care less about the customers. The staff is nonresponsive and spend the majority of time either trying to sell you something or talk with somebody other than you (usually a co-worker, with whom flirting is a very high priority). I can handle all of that. But, the issue that made me leave involved a breach of my personal information. I recently signed up for personal training services with Professional Fitness, the company Mieko's contracts with for personal training. The staff member that registered me for their program called me at inappropriate hours just to chat with me. He then provided my personal phone number to a friend of his. His friend then called me, under the impression that I was interested in meeting him. The kicker? The friend was calling me from a work release facility! I complained to both Mieko's and Professional Fitness, wanting to know how and why my personal information was being released and if additional information, such as my address, was released. Both agencies were generally nonresponsive. No one from Mieko's ever called me back and when I called them to check on the status of my complaint. I was basically told that this was not Mieko's problem and I would need to contact Professional Fitness directly. Mieko's staff was not at all concerned about my personal safety or comfort as their client. Professional Fitness staff claimed they could not verify my complaint either. I cancelled my contract with Professional Fitness and they did refund all of my money for fitness training. I promptly cancelled my membership with Mieko's as well. I would advise all women to avoid Mieko's and Professional Fitness, as the employee who released my information is still employed by Professional Fitness.

Do not join this gym. It seems like you are saving a bunch of money, but when you go to cancel they will make it so difficult and purposely lose your letter canceling your membership that you have to keep coming back in. They are very slimy and disrespectful. Save yourself the money and heartache by joining a real gym. This is for the Canyon Park Center, but their headquarters were the slimiest of all. I'm still having to deal with them and I canceled my membership 4 months ago.
Pros: NONE.
Cons: Too hard to cancel and their customer service agents are slimier than car salesman.

I joined this gym a few months ago and have very few complaints. There's almost always available parking and cardio equipment. The people at the door are friendly but not in-your-face. There are classes available for people who work 9 to 5. And the clientel is older and laid-back=not even close to the stereotypical meat markets (you know what I'm talking about if you've been to 24-Hour Fitness downtown or Gold's on Capitol Hill). It's refreshing.

I've been a member of Mieko’s for several years now. The primary reason I have stayed with them for so long is price. While the facility was recently expanded, membership has not been capped which means long lines for elliptical trainers and other sought after equipment of which 25% is generally out of order. Don’t even get me started on parking! Despite the low prices, I will be cancelling my membership this month. I've found better quality of equipment and availability of machines is worth the extra cash.
Pros: Low membership fees
Cons: There was actually a sign in the shower requesting that guests clean up their pubes.. really

Pros: staff
Cons: parking

Goodness, where do I begin with this place. I recently had been a member at the Edmonds gym. The manager is as slimey as they come, always creepily pushing pills and shakes and training sessions and babysitting promotions. The child care was aweful! 1 adult for 17 toddlers? I thought maybe if I said something it would change, but no. The personal trainer I had who was esteemed with the company seemed tired all the time, and not especially excited to be helping people. This persons knowledge was minimal but she was well versed in how the apex supplements work. I was happy to realize other gyms do not have this lazy, greasy, uneducated environment. The gym I am involved with now is caring and educated and not trying to sell me a damn thing except a good uninterupted work out.
Pros: They had excersize equipment
Cons: Pretty much everything beyond the equipment.

I have been looking for a gym for quite sometime, shopping for gyms has not been a great experience. When i went to miekos i was impressed with how friendly and attentive the staff was. My tour was short and to the point. I not only signed up because they had all the equiptment i needed and more, but because the staff didn't just "sell" me, they helped me understand what i needed to do for myself. The staff at miekos has been so helpful, right from the start. You can go to any gym, but you wont find the service you do at Miekos anywhere else.
Pros: staff, parking, classes
Cons: too busy before expansion

Great gym for me. I am able to go at off hours and have never had any trouble getting on any machine I'd like to use. I've been a member since they opened and they assisted me in losing 30 pounds! Yes, 30 pounds! They are in a very convenient location for me as I only live within a mile of their location. It's easy for me to get to, the staff is great and all of the equipment is up to date and in good condition. With their recent expansion they've added a new line of equipment ( which I now prefer,) and I love going there. Check it out! I'm sure you will be pleased too.
Pros: Great staff, ample parking, good hours
Cons: No pool or whirlpool
