I've attended several dinners catered by Smoke Ring and have purchased their packaged offerings. As a guest, I have been impressed by the distinctive quality of a Smoke Ring dinner; its BBQ worthy of white linen and good wine (or a micro brew if you're so inclined). There is no reliance on sugary sauces smothering over-cooked meat here. Instead you are presented with quality cuts of beef and pork that have been teased with slow heat and hot smoke over long hours in the smoker. This southern-style process renders the meat tender, juicy and very flavorfull--think of the refinement of lox rather than the edgy bite of sloppy joes. Of course BBQ is a religion to some, so my advice is to order some packaged samples and try them yourself. My dominant impression of each dinner is "memorable."

Ohhhh MAN! This is the real deal-- for everybody who has ever wondered why Seattle, which has just about everything else you can wish for, doesn't have the kind of 'Q that gets people who know talking, look no further. Everything these people put up is 100% genuine, weapons-grade beautiful BBQ, including the stuff you just won't find here at all like the hash and the SC-style mustard sauce. Do not wait to find them on a cater-out, 'cause the secret is they sell vacuum-packed right off the site and they deliver.

Too many folks get confused about what makes great barbecue - No, Dixie's... it's NOT the sauce. It's a combination of spices, the best meat, patience, HICKORY smoke and a dedication to making every little detail perfect. Smoke-Ring exceeds expectations on all counts!! They don't have a store-front, but if you're on the Eastside and have a family to feed, you can have it delivered at no extra charge. Truly the best barbecue I've had anywhere (including the South). You're in for a treat!!

Outstanding barbecue - especially the ribs and the pork. Finally the real thing. They also have an interesting side dish - Barbecue Hash, which is server over rice. Delicious.
