Beware the trolls

I've been going to this restaurant for several years and the food has been consistently good to great. Service can vary, but the overall experience has been good enough that I don't hesitate to bring guests, which is usually my acid-test. Prices have gone up over time but the portions are very ample. If you've never had it before, screw up your courage and try the morcilla (blutwurst) or better yet the molleja (grilled sweetbreads-thymus, actually) for a real appetizer treat.

Beware, there was a bitter ownership split a few years back and it appears that each side is writing either over-the-top positive reviews or bitter negative ones on citysearch. Check out the profiles of the reviewers and you'll find that most have "reviewed" nothing else...A sure sign they're bogus.

Our new favorite Steakhouse!

I've heard such great things about Buenos Aires Grill and until now have not had the opportunity to experience this amazing restaurant. I love trying out new places to eat and this is now one of my favorites. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and were seated right away. We did make reservations of course, as from what we heard this is a very up and coming spot. The customer service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions on the wine. We started off with the calamari as an appetizer then to the filet minon which was absolutely PERFECT! The mustard sauce is to die for! The tango dancers were very entertaining especially when they got up and danced on the bar! This restaurant is the perfect spot for a night on the town, dinner with friends or family, or a romantic date with your significant other.

Great Restaurant! Now one of our Faves!

Great Restaurant! 5 of us went down there after the show at the Moore, which is right acorss the street. Hostess was friendly and the food was outstanding. We shared Apps and drank a couple of bottles of Lucca (Malbec). My steak was cooked to perfection! I will def. be back. Buenos Aires Grill is a great steak house!

The worst Asado (grill) of my life

I didn't like the food, it really was out of Argentina's style, I think the owner and cook are from Mexico, It is like a Italian cooks a Chinese food. so this not match. So the steak was so stiff and too garlic for my taste and my table was so close to the bar that it was so uncomfortable for me looking at the bottom back of the people.

Poor Business Practices.

Reservations were made at the Buenos Aires grill on Virginia Ave in Seattle for 5PM on Thanksgiving, 2007. We asked for sure that they would be open, and were told YES, by all means. We originally made the reservation for 2 at 5 PM on Thanksgiving day, for my oldest son and I. I talked with my youngest son shortly after and was told his plans may change, and he may want to join us for dinner. We Called the restaurant a SECOND time, to change the reservation for 3 people, double checking that they were in fact open on Thanksgiving, as so many restaurants are closed, and were told again, by another person "by all means, we are open" so we had our Thanksgiving Dinner out all planned... until we drove all the way to downtown Seattle, went to the Restaurant and found it dark and locked up. We waited until well after our reservation time and nothing. They said they would open as usual at 5PM and at 5:!5 they were still dark and locked up, with no one inside. We had to try to find a place to eat at 5PM on Thanksgiving day becuase of their poor business practice and customer Service. Or did they just LIE to us? OH. the address in their advertizing is wrong also, they are at 220 Virginia Ave. not 2000, or 2200 or 2028 depending on what website you look at.

Great Date Restaurant - Past Tense!!

Buenos Aires Grill was one of my favorite date restaurants. I recently went back to check it out and found it to be quite lacking. I knew something was up when I asked for the Argentinean beer they served and was told they didn't have any. I ordered an appetizer at the bar (calamari) which was one of the worst I have ever had. I then sat down at a table for dinner and started questioning our waitress. She told me that the ownership had changed a year ago and that my favorite Tango dancers (present dancers were lack luster at best.) had left for a job in Cirque de Soleil in Japan. I was ready to just get up and leave at this point but decided to order a meal and see what else had changed. Everything we ordered was sub par except the Filet Mignon which was outstanding as it had been in the past. For the present I would avoid Buenos Aires Grill until they get their act together.

Best Dining Experience in DT

With two kids (3 & 6), busy work and activity schedules - sound familiar....My wife and I found ourselves on Friday evening without our kids...looking for something special and somewhat familiar to us coming from Mexico and spending time in Buenos Aires. We were truly impressed and highly recommend the Buenos Aires Grill, the name says it all. having visited other touted Argentine restaurants in the city.....nothing compared to the extraordinary service, from our well mannered hostess, waitstaff, service and recommendations, above all the surprise when we were told there is live tango dancing around the tables....very nice.

The food was delicious, the meat cooked to our preference. The portions a bit on large size, we know now for next time and you must try the sweet potatoe fries.

5 stars......and we'll be telling our friends!

I absolutely love Seattle! Buenos Aires is one of the reasons for it! :) I love the food and of course of the atmosphere. Me and my friends come here all the time, I absolutely love this plac. You have to come here if you're not having a good day it will make everything better!!!!

best steaks

I had the best time at the buenos aires grill. I came in for dinner a few nights ago and was very satisfied. Our steaks were s good!!! it is a little pricey, but very well worth it. I would rather pay alittle extra and get a great steak. Our waitress was very nice and personable. we had agreat time all around

great food could be better service

I was at this resteraunt on Saturday for dinner with my family before my grand daughters play wich was across the street. I must say that I've definetly had better service, but the food was great. We were in a little bit of a time crunch, and we were a fairly large group, but before we sat down our server said that wouldnt be a problem since we were the so early in the evening. but it took forever to even recieve our drinks. when we finally ordered our food we didnt have a whole lot of time left before the show started. I asked the waitress if we would have enough time and how long it was going to take and she very rudely informed me that "I was not the only person in the restreraunt that she was waiting on" I found her comments to be extremely rude and snide. I really hope this place finds emplyees a little wiser next time. The food was good and all the other wait staff seamed very nice.
