Slow Service and Over Cooked Steak & Veggies

Buenos Aires Experience Cliff Notes:

- I asked for a soda refill and it took 35 minutes

- I asked for a Medium Rare New York Streak and got Medium Well

- The cooked vegatables were over cooked

- My steak had been sitting for a few minutes because it was cool before I recieved it

- The steak was very fatty and was low grade "nebraska corn fed USA choice" at best.

- The server took 12 minutes to comeback to the table, after he dropped off our food, to see how we were doing.

- I recieved 1 soda refill during the 2 hours and 45 minutes I was there.

Worst Steak(s) Ever Served!

This was my first time venturing out to a "new" steakhouse, than to my normal Metropolitan Grill, Mortons, Ruth's Chris restaurants. According the the reviews it was a great restaurant and "authentic".

The evening started out great with calamari appetizers and a nice bottle of red wine! Then the entrees came out and that's when it reached rock bottom!

In a party of 4 we each ordered 4 different cuts of steak, porterhouse, filet mignon, ribeye and new york. Everything tasted so BLAND! I thought that Argentinians used spices and marinades with their cooking! Even the shrimp scampi that came with the filet had no taste to it! We ALL asked for steak sauce but they had none available, apparently they ran out of any steak sauce along with the spices to season our steaks with! No one at the table was happy! There was more flavor and taste in the calamari than any of our entrees and side dishes.

Our bill still came to $190 dollars, and nothing was discounted when we even spoke to someone who seemed like a "manager"! We have all agreed that we will never again return to this restaurant or recommend this restaurant to anyone!

If you ever think that you would want to try this place out, please think twice because we all seriously think that Outback Steakhouse would have been better!

Appalled

I was appalled at the terrible customer service we received when dining at Buenos Aires Grill. Halfway through our night we were rudely told that if we didn't spend $25 per person on food (drinks we were told did not count) we would be charged $25 per person. We had gone out to enjoy appetizers and drinks, which totalled well over $25 each. However, since our food alone didn't total $25 each, we were charged the outrageous "sitting fee". I was especially shocked because we were not told about this "policy" right away.

Horrible experience

I was excited to take my steak-loving boyfriend out for his birthday. Our first bad sign came when the advertised $5 parking lot charged $9, but although our waiter took a while to show up the atmosphere was nice and we were ready for a great meal. We ordered calamari, mixed grill with the famous garlic papas fritas, and pasta. Our waiter forgot the calamari, the fries were plain rather than garlic, and my boyfriend described the steak on the mixed grill (which was brought with sausage although we requested otherwise) as "fatty meat gum." Our waiter failed to bring a steak knife and my pasta was mediocre. He was then absent throughout the meal until suspiciously right around tip time, when he obviously picked up on the fact that we were seething and brought us a dessert on the house. Too little, too late - we won't be back.

The atmosphere and staff at the Buenos Aires Grill were friendly, warm and entertaining. The food left much to be desired. All of the cuts of meat, from lamb to beef, were thin and very fatty. Not good marbling fat, but just plain chunks of fat. The sauces were mediocre. Maybe this would be a good place for dessert and a drink, but dinner, at least when we went, will not bring us coming back for more.
