Reviews are only as good as the honesty of the reviewer. In the case of the windshield wiper complaint for example, this customer was informed of a problem with her wiper arm at the time of the blade installation. She came into the shop knowing there was a problem with her wiper system but requested only new blades. The repair required a dealer part which she declined but wanted new blades anyway. 2 hours after leaving the shop she called from the dealer saying we damaged her windshield wiper system & wanted $200 to be paid to the dealer for the repair. (she had been quoted around $40 for a new arm at the time of her visit!!!!, which she declined). She was asked to return to the shop to resolve the issue, an offer which she declined also. There are good shops & bad shops just as there are good customers & bad customers. As for as the other reviews offered here I have no reccollection of them.

Stopped in to the Issaquah Pit stop to see if they could change my wiper blades for me. Not only did they charge an excessive price to change the wiper blades out, they managed to bend the wiper arm that the blade attaches to to the point where the wiper blade would no longer touch the windshield. When confronted them about them about it they of course denied any responsibility and became quite rude. If these buffoons can't even change a wiper blade properly, I would'nt trust them to wipe their own butts! Stay away from this business they are a bunch of incompetent idiots who will only screw things up and then deny any responsibility!
Cons: incompetent staff, dishonest

What a great experience I had with them today, I worked all night, went to start my car and found I had a problem. I managed to get the car home at 6 am. I then called there number and asked them to call me back as soon as they got in, They did. I then drove the car there and they happily gave me a ride home while they worked on my car. I was very happy with the repairs and encourage others to stop by and see them when they are in need of a car repair. My experience with them was nothing but positive.
Pros: Verry nice and eager to please
Cons: Not open 24 hours. But I can understand this.

I've been divorced for over a year now and had depended on my husband to take care of certain things like household repairs and car maintenance. I was completely lost without the first clue as to how to do certain things, or even what should be done to keep my car running. When my car started making a funny noise, I panicked, what was i going to do? I looked up local mechanics in the yellow pages and after a few phone calls found that the Pit Stop had time to look at my car right away. The owner (John) was very reassuring, and upfront about how he couldn't diagnose the car or quote me a price without looking at it first, but would be happy to look at it that day, and go from there. As it turned out, it wasn't anything major or expensive, but simply that my car had been lacking a little TLC. John personally took the time to show me what was going on (it was low on a few fluids and desperately needed a mileage service, having surpassed it's 60,000 by a lot!) and explained to me the basics of maintaining a car, including what needed to be done when, and even taught me how to check the fluids under the hood myself! I got an estimate for my overdue mileage service and an oil change, but best of all I got some priceless knowledge every gal should know. Thanks to John I regained some sense of independence, but also learned it's ok to rely on someone for help, especially when they're honest.
Pros: Honest, Fair Prices, Above and Beyond "fix it and collect"

I took my wife's car to Pitstop because it often wouldn't start. The owner tested it out and told me I need to have a new alternator (at $498). Once I got the car back it ran for two days then died again. Same problem. When I took it back they said, guess we were wrong. Now it needs the computer chip replaced (est. was $1000 and I had to leave the car for 2 weeks). When I asked why so long, I was rudely told that they were busy and I could either leave the car or take it away. So I took it to the Chrysler dealer in Bellevue. In less than an hour they told me I just needed the battery replaced, which they did for $80. Car has run without a problem for 3 weeks now. Don't trust them. I did and it cost me big time.
Pros: Owner seemed nice
Cons: Wrong diagnosis. Expensive unneeded repairs. Rude when questioned.
