I used hometask to schedule someone to install a dog door a year ago. The worker arrived with his "brother in law" and admitted he hadn't done one before. When he left it seemed to have been an okay job. Six months later, I found that the worker did not seal the dog door, so water had been leaking between my walls. I had to replace exterior boards on my house due to moisture . Now it's been 9 months, and the screws have pulled out of the door-- 2" screws had been drilled through sheetrock with no other means of securing. I'm definitely not following up with hometask for this or any other work.

HomeTask is new to Cleveland's East side. Where have you been all my life? The company handles all the annoying to-dos around the house. I can schedule them on line or call an 800 number. Simple hourly billing helps maintain a budget. They were on time and very professional. I have been spreading the word about this great service.
Pros: Professional, on time, ease of scheduling and tracking work completed.
Cons: Still new in Cleveland so only one franchise at this time.

I called Hometask after a friend told me they had these guys do some work for him. I got an appointment the next day. I needed me fence repaired from a wind storm and after the guy was done he noticed I had a gutter that looked loose on his way out and offered to tighten it up, no charge. I was very impressed that it seemed liked his main concern was that I was happy and that the work was done well. I will be calling Hometask again.
Pros: Great value, good work
Cons: none
