User Reviews for Ravenna Locksmith

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Excellent, prompt and friendly service. Very nice guy who, as another reviewed mentioned, is a one man operation. When you call, you are talking to the person who will do the work. He has been in business over 20 years and I would highly recommend him. He doesn't take credit cards though so have your cash or check ready.

Pros: reliable, thorough and prompt

Cons: doesn't take credit cards

Followed up on the first recommendation, and not for the rating, which seemed low (3 stars?), but for the testimonial. Ravenna Locksmith is indeed a personal service shop by the owner, Howard Nevitt. He was able to make an appointment for the next day, he was timely, and he was able to address the problem well within the outside time I had to deal with it. As well he took care of a couple of other little problems that had been bothering me for some time but that I had always lived with. The lock is not only repaired, it works better than before it malfunctioned. Total cost: $65 visit charge, $30 half-hour labor = $95. I rue buying locks at Home Depot, rekeying them, and then finding I was in too deep. Next time go to the expert. The non-returnable locks (because they are rekeyed) are the price of learning, hopefully you'll avoid that from my experience.

Pros: Timely, worked within estimate

Cons: Doesn't accept credit cards

Howard the locksmith could show a lot of people how to treat customers. Don't hesitate to call him. I think he's a one-man-show so you know who you will deal with as soon as the phone is answered.

Pros: one man shop, honest, reliable, fairly priced
