I took my girlfriend here as a surprise to end a trip to Chicago. I made reservations for 8PM(Because sunset was listed for 8:15, but things don't get dark until about 9). To get there you take an express elevator which takes probably less than a minute to scale 95 floors(Your ears definitely pop!). When you get there, you're greeted with the most spectacular view of the city you could ever hope for. I got there 30 minutes early because I wanted to request a south window seat early(The view of the city which has the skyscrapers, lake, Navy Pier, etc) and you are NOT able to request a table with your reservations, meaning that we had to wait for one. At 8 the server said that it could be over an hour before we were seated, but amazingly at 8:30 he called our name and gave us an amazing table. The service here was impeccable, the only issue is that the servers did not seem very personal at all. We were served by about 3 or 4 different people, none of which introduced themselves, and they seemed to serve the section as a group, as several people got their dessert, checks, etc all at once. We ordered almost all of the vegetarian selections on the menu, the appetizer was a mushroom strudel with goat cheese and truffle which was delicious, even though I don't like mushrooms! It was also very well presented. The main courses were a different story. I ordered the grilled eggplant which was drenched in a sauce which didn't taste very good and didn't feel like it was cooked amazingly well(It was, however, well-presented). My girlfriend got pasta primavera which was delicious, but it didn't seem to be anything you couldn't find elsewhere. The desserts were well-priced, she got the creme brulee which was about what you would expect, and delicious. The atmosphere well makes up for all of this, it is a sight that cannot be captured in the photos.
Pros: View from any spot, amazing service, great appetizers and dessert, not extremely expensive
Cons: If you're looking for an entree that will amaze you, look elsewhere

My husband took me there for our anniversary. The atmosphere is very elegant and classy. My husband made reservations beforehand to get a table by a window. If you want good seats, I suggest you make reservations beforehand. The view is amazing. You get great food and a one of a kind view at the same time. The service was great. Our waiter did not rush us. He took his time and checked if we needed anything. The food was also fabulous!
Pros: Service and food were excellet
Cons: To get good seats, make reservations beforehand

Terrible Service. Sorely disappointed. I am from LA and made a reservation for my birthday. I changed my dinner reservation to drinks which I told the person over the phone. When I got there at 10:30 PM, even though they had seats, they wanted to kick us out since we were only ordering desserts. I told them that I would order many desserts to make it up. No cigar. Asked them to make an exception for my birthday which was that night. No.. Just terrible how people can treat others. Literally left that moment. Felt completely horrible and just left a bad taste in my mouth since there were no other patrons waiting for dinner and they just wanted to kick us out on a technicality of not ordering dinner.
Pros: Great viewq
Cons: Terrible disappointing service

i took my sister here for her birthday and it was everything i expected. great atmosphere, great view, great service, wonderful food. so don't let peoples bad reviews fool you this is a 5star restaurant and with a restaurant of that quality you can expect to pay a good amount. so if you're cheap don't bother going
Pros: everything is wonderful
Cons: pricey

If you are in Chicago and want a fantastic view of the city without having to wait in the long lines at the Sears Tower Observatory and want a good meal, head here. I went for lunch which is reasonably priced and a good menu was offered. The service was pretty good too. You are on the 95th floor and are able to see all of Chicago and can take pictures and everything. If you are on the cheap, definately go for lunch on a week day, not on the weekends or holidays. The lounge one floor up is more pricey, with $7.50 bottled beers it can turn into an expensive lounge experience. I would recommend this for a nice lunch spot. The meal was good and the server was very friendly and even took pictures of us at the table.
Pros: GREAT views, good menu for lunch, friendly staff
Cons: VERY expensive for dinner and for drinks in the lounge

You really are paying for the view. I think it is a much better view than the Sears Tower and the Sunday brunch is decent enough if you go hungry so you can eat enough. Lunch and dinner otherwise is very expensive and each item is pricey for what it is. I have been here for work and visitors who wanted a view but I can honestly say that compared to the large number of excellent restaurants in Chicago, the individual entrees are not impressive and sometimes it is hard to get the waitstaff's attention.

This was my first visit to the Signature Room in Chicago and I was extremely pleased! I ordered the lobster bisque, filet mignon, and the banana trio for dessert- all were very impressive. The staff was very friendly and we were seated promptly. The restaurant has amazing views of the city and I strongly suggest you do whatever you need to do to get a window table. This restaurant is very romantic-we could see the fireworks going off at Navy Pier and there were THREE wedding proposals while we were there. Can't wait to go back to Chicago and my new favorite restaurant!
Pros: Excellent food, staff, and views of the city- great date place!
Cons: None!

I've been here before and had an exception time. But my experience this past Father's day started out horrible. We had to check in at the 96th Floor and then walk down to the 95th floor. My Grandmother walks with a cane and I had a baby stroller. We thought easy enough we can take the elevator down one floor. Wrong. We ended up all the way back in the lobby of the Hancock Building. It was obvious that the elevator host hates his job. When we told him the scenario he replied in a snotty way w/ I can't do anything from here see a Manager upstairs. When we went upstairs the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. They said, hold on we'll figure it out. By then we just carried the stroller down and my grandmother held tightly to the railing. I asked them what they did with handicapped people. No response. The food isn't anything spectacular. It's good, but not to die for. I pretty much paid $85 per person for the view and aggravation. My advice is to go to the observatory deck and get some good grub elsewhere. There are so many other nice restaurants.
Pros: the view
Cons: the service, for a fine dining restaurant they let a lot of people in with jeans very tacky

Amazing Food, Terrific view...one problem. I am unfortunately a wee bit hard of hearing and the acustics in this restaurant allow for a lot of echoing so I was unable to hear my husband speaking to me when he was just across the table from me. I have been there about 4 times. Once for my aniversary, twice to the lounge for drinks with friends and once for a bachellorette party dinner. All in all I will still go back...I just wish I could hear better in there!!
Pros: Food and the View
Cons: Acustics
