One of the reasons I love Seattle!
by JWallis
I am not really a cake doughnut fanatic, the fluffy glazed are normally my favorite but Mighty O doughnuts make the best doughnuts I have ever had-even if they are all cake. They are also vegan but you would not know it from their taste, they’re just a delicious doughnut that happens to also be vegan & organic. Mighty O has great traditional flavors like the standard glazed and also unique and delicious like chocolate peanut butter, so there is something for every appetite. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you try and their drinks pair perfectly (I am a fan of the soy hot chocolate with a chocolate peanut butter doughnut). I also wait every year for the pumpkin doughnut with pumpkin glaze that they have every October, they are amazing!
- Pros: Organic, delicious, unique flavors
- Cons: Can be hard to find bakery or parking, only cake doughnuts
Eenie Meeny Mighty-O!
by A Scott
I am addicted to Mighty-O Donuts! They make new donuts for every season, and a different selection every day. If you get there in the morning you have a ton of delicious options; if you go between 4:00 and 5:00 it's DONUT HAPPY HOUR at half off! What's not to love?
Best Cup of Coffee in North Seattle, and Thoroughgoing Donuts.
by BSkiff
Not only a chill spot with great donuts (yes they are incredible by any standards vegan or non...) but I would posit that Mighty-O makes the best americano in North Seattle. Stumptown, impeccably brewed. It has become increasingly difficult to find palatable espresso even in our coffee-arrogant city. Even famed Zoka's, across the street, delivers a mediocre pull.
awesome donuts

mighty-o is a family favorite! my dairy-allergic kid loves the glazed and the sprinkled donuts. it's fun to watch through the window as the donuts are being made in the back of the shop. the people who work at mighty-o are friendly and nice, a relief from seattle's typical sullen-style service. i've taken a box of a dozen donuts to parties and they are always popular. the 4:00pm time is 'happy hour' and donuts are half-price. coffee is good, too.
- Pros: great donuts
- Cons: none
Yummy! But eat at your own risk...
by punk123
These doughnuts were the richest, most decadent I've ever tasted. The staff were wonderful, the place is inviting and charming, coffee is divine - if you don't have a car, getting there is extremely difficult (but hey, you'll walk off the calories ;) Beware, though, my friend and I felt very ill for about 3 hours afterwards - maybe it's the palm oil. Half a doughnut is probably good for one sitting.
yummy!

I dragged two friends to Mighty-Os while vacationing in Seattle. I was told to pick donuts that "tasted like real food" since the donuts are vegan (friends have had bad experiences with vegan food). These were the best donuts I've ever had. Chocolate Mint, regular glazes, Lots O Chocolate and just the Chocolate Topped ones were our favorites. They had some different flavors (peanut butter and jelly, cinnamon toast) that were good. We ran out of time to make a second run there, otherwise I would have brought some home. I will definitely be back whe I'm back in WA.
- Pros: Yummy, vegan
- Cons: Parking
Vegan donuts? Not for me
by spudsocks
Eh, I'm not the biggest fan. Just because they're vegan doesn't make them tasty--I feel like they have to find workarounds for the elements that usually make donuts good and the flavor and texture definitely suffer. The chocolate is particularly atrocious--if I'm going to let myself eat a chocolate donut, I want it to be chocolate overload, not a strange, unsatisfying flavor vaguely reminiscent of sawdust. If you do get one, the cinnamon's the best of all.
- Pros: Friendly, serve yerba mate
- Cons: Don't like the donuts
Seattle eco-warriors, take note: These all-vegan and organic doughnuts in Tangletown are an (almost) guilt-free indulgence.

In Short
Healthy might be stretching it, but the doughnuts at this charming shop are dairy-free, made entirely with certified organic ingredients and have no hydrogenated vegetable oils or trans fat. Savor them with the rest of the bleary-eyed neighborhood denizens in the small, breezy one-room cafe. Popular flavors include Lots o' Chocolate, lemon poppy and French Toast; customers can mix and match a dozen or have the expert server make up a selection.
Better than Zoka Accross the Street

If you want a cool coffee shop atmosphere with great people, I recommend Mighty-O. The servers seem to work hard and care about the customer. I must say, I don't get that feeling often at coffee shops in Seattle. It's not just a donut shop! Go in this place to chill and grab coffee/espresso and a treat too.
Best donuts ever.

My boyfriend and I made the mistake of getting here too late in the afternoon and there weren't many choices left. Still, the donuts we had were really good, and they didn't make me as sick as ordinary donuts do. I would definitely go to Mighty O again.
- Pros: Yummy donuts
- Cons: Closes early
