I've been taking my guitars to Parsons Guitar Shop for over 5 years now. As someone who is actively involved in the Seattle music scene, I can honestly say I've never heard a bad thing or the word scam about Parsons work. Sounds like a smear campaign.... Sad.
Pros: Great reputation, honest work!

I took a custom-made electric guitar, worth thousands of dollars, to Parsons Guitars for various work. When I realized that the guitar was even worse than when I took it in, I began to do my own research, learning about the techniques of master luthiers. I soon realized that nobody could do that poor of a job, and have it be an honest accident. One example: my guitar nut was broken, into two separate pieces, and was glued back together, and back into the guitar that way! That was just one example. I could list at least 10 more. This was no honest mistake; there's just no possible way. I was deliberately taken advantage of and ripped off.
