How the mighty fall
by amethystbeach
I used to love this place, despite the horribly uncomfortable booths (incredibly short seat and rigid straight back), but haven't been in over a year. Today I wanted some great Thai food, and was sorely disappointed. My husband and I went for a late lunch and have lived to regret it. The server brought my food and almost ten minutes later brought hubbie's. Mine was mostly just sugar and crushed red pepper for flavor, his was dirty wok flavored. We sent his back and his next dish wasn't much better. Halfway home we thought maybe we wouldn't even make it, but have since settled in with Pepto Bismol and Tums, with the leftovers safely in the garbage. Maybe we visited them at the wrong time of day, but this was just sad, especially when this location used to be so wonderful. I can only hope the other locations don't follow suite.

It was a great service when I went there last week. The waiter were just take care us and other customer. It was a great food, and a great service. I really like Phad Thai and Tom Yum.
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: Parking Lot

The food is great! Phad Thai the best.....fromThailand! Only problem is the exterior...I amure there is a Land Lord. It really looks bad. I amsure there is a conflict with Resaurant and Owner of property, it is a real shame because it makes the Restaurant look dirty. I will be back, I hope this problem gets resolved soon as it could deceive potential customers of joining the list of happy customers. I..... will always bring famiy and friends here.
- Pros: as listed in my remarks
- Cons: If I had closed my eyes.....I could have believed I was in Thailand....
Dirty!

Food was so so, restaurant was dirty! Parking in the mall was even worse. Northgate needs better Thai place to eat. I won't go there again...
- Pros: In Northgate
- Cons: Everything!
Will come again!

I took my wife here on her birthday last Thursday since she was craving Thai food. We passed by this restaurant as we frequent Indo Cafe. We love their Pad Thai....one of the best we've had! Service was also good. A nice experience and will come again!
It's all about the noodles at this Northgate favorite.

In Short
With its ornate decorations and dependable menu items, this Northgate Thai restaurant draws a steady crowd of neighborhood regulars to its bar and dining area. Homemade noodles elevate the otherwise standard pad thai and take center stage in the savory drunken noodles. Spicy, comforting tom yum soup is chock-full of vegetables, meat and tangy lemongrass.
terrible service

Maybe other people who got good service in this restaurant are lucky. In our case, it's the worst experience ever. Probably the waitress had a bad day on New Year's day, but we didn't think we deserved the treatment she gave us. After leaving food on the table, she completely ignored us. The curry we got was watery. She pretended that she didn't see our signs for more water and food. We waited and waited for our check but she just moved around without giving us a single look. We had to come to the counter to pay the bill since we had a flight to catch. She behaved as though we were bothering her. Very disappointing service. Not a nice feeling to start a new year.
- Pros: reasonable price, close to shopping mall
- Cons: bad service
Good Thai food
by ttothek
I love this place. I love their Phad Thai, and the Tom Kha soup. I've also had some other entrees, but both the noodle and soup are what we ALWAYS order. Though I think we are getting around to adding the Panang Curry, that is so delish. The service is pretty attentive, though we've never gone there on a "late" night time. Though I have seen the bartender serve, and pick up the check from tables. The atmosphere is nice, and great for a date spot. The Thai Iced Tea, is one the best I've had. The prices aren't too bad either.
- Pros: Phad Thai, and Tom Kha, the service, and ambience
- Cons: parking on occasion, specify spicy factor, the ratings are not what you think
Waiting for service late at night
by bubblet
The food there is good like the others in the Jai Thai chain, but if you go to this one on a Friday night later in the evening say 9:30pm, the restaurant will be open but there won't be many others dining there so the bartender doubles as your waiter which means a longer wait for service. Oh and the bar is way out in another room so he has to trek over to the restaurant section to check on you and you can't flag him down because he can't see you from the bar.
- Pros: parking lot, great food
- Cons: slow late night service

I used to order from here quite often for take out. They have okay service their food though is hit and miss. One day I ordered their 'drunken noodles' (which I've had there before, more than once) when my husband got it home, it was basically noodles, veggies, chicken and hot pepper flakes. The following week, I ordered the same exact thing again, maybe the cook was having an off day, it happens. THE SAME THING. YUCK YUCK YUCK... I was not too pleased and had cereal for dinner instead. They might wanna consider getting a new cook.
- Pros: Service
- Cons: Food
