Owners Attitude
by USC
The studio is very nice inside. However, I think that the carpet could and should be cleaned more often. Most of the instructors are excellent. I don't however enjoy the owner's classes. I always get criticized when I am taking her classes. She spends more time critiquing than she does instructing the whole class. It is unfortunate because I like the other instructors, but I will no longer be attending Hot Yoga of Woodinville as a result. Some people may like her tactics, but as a teacher you need to have a balance between positive comments and necessary constructive criticism. Rather than feeling motivated, I leave her classes feeling frustrated.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Owner's attitude, dressing area, carpet smelly
Bad Prana
by TJP
Drill-instructor style, critical comments marked the very long 90 minutes. Bad energy. Won't send anyone I like to this studio.
- Pros: Nice Studio
- Cons: Highly regimented, critical teaching
lovely place

I come here regularly, and I really do like all the teachers, they pay attention on every single one of us, and explaining the benefits of the poses in details, so it motivates you through the class. Very happy with them!
- Pros: excellent teachers
- Cons: none
Unfriendly owner/teacher
by jleszcze
I`ve been going there for several months now, and I like all of the teachers, they are very friendly and very detail oriented. The class can be over crowded though. But the only thing I really don`t like there, is one of the teachers, Sandra, I guess she is also the owner. She is hardly ever friendly and you feel like she is critisizing you. So I agree with one of the previous comments, all the other teachers are really good, but I don`t like her either. Sorry.
- Pros: all of the teacher
- Cons: except one of the teachers (S.)
Recommended for a Sweet (& Sweaty) Practice of Yoga
by Yogini100
I have been practicing yoga a for a decade. I've been in every Bikram/Hot studio from Tacoma to Bellingham multiple times and in many other studios in other styles. I've taken from brand new teachers (a joy) to the masters (I make a point of it) and would rather take a class from 1) an instructor trained by THE top authority in their style and 2) some one who is an inspired and caring teacher (rather than some is is ill-trained and/or worse -- charismatic).
I have had the pleasure of practicing at Hot Yoga of Woodinville -- most recently when housesitting for family. The space itself is convenient and nice. I am especially struck by the sweetness of the yoga community there. The students are respectful in and out of the yoga room. In the class room, the group energy feels good. There are new teachers with new energy and there are more experienced teachers that always seems to deliver a gem -- whether it is a word about the broader practice of yoga or a technical detail about a pose -- even when delivered as a well-placed correction to my personal practice -- actually, I hope to receive that kind of personal attention from time to time in practice!
The owner sets the tone of a studio. It's not surprising then, that the owner Sandy is my favorite teacher there. She has a long history with Bikram Yoga. She's both digilent and caring in the yoga room. You feel supported and you feel that she wants you to progress physically and otherwise. My favorite is when you are holding a pretty difficult posture and she sees a detail that will benefit a student. You might be holding triangle a little longer than expected. Recently, I heard Sandy talking about improvements in the body after a sustained practice. She mentioned the dissipation of stress. She also mentioned posture. Most fascinating was her observation of the human foot -- how it visibly changes. This is an observant teacher!!!
I recommend this studio for all of the above!
- Pros: Thumbs up

real hot yoga, not so hot on service
by seattlecitysearch
I am looking at the below reviews and it made me laugh, these were definatly written by the owner or someone working there
hot yoga was nice, but there $35 unlimited for a month to try it before you join has some stipulations, if the class is full, you have to leave! So you paid a lower amount to try a place out to see if you want to go there after and if people who are paying more then you show up you have to leave.
Also when entering the instructor is the one up front, and going in i felt pushed through like a robot in s not so caring way.
The yoga class was good, the yoga instructor good when instructing, the customer service outside of the room is not that good, they should hire someone to be upfront so customer do not feel pressured to not ask questions.
- Pros: parking
- Cons: undressing area, class size, customer service
vini yoga is here too!!!
by grtwd
Not mentioned here is the new Viniyoga teacher Brenda McGee, teaching Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and pregnant women are welcome! Tuesday nights the Viniyoga class is getting busy and is a lot of fun. The room is warm, not hot, so I don't have to worry about being pregnant. I need the yoga but the doctor said to avoid the heated room. The teacher, Brenda, is great. I practiced Bikram (hot) yoga for years and can't live without yoga. I am thrilled to find yoga here where I live. Didn't even know this place was here all this time, this is a great studio. Beautiful. Always nice, clean. Sweet people, great parking.
Great yoga
by lydadefoor
I love this yoga! I have tried other types and this is my favorite. I am in better shape, more relaxed, sleeping better, less joint pain and increased body confidence. I like the variety of students, teachers, and times classes are offered. You can't beat this yoga for a work out. Hot yoga is aerobic, strength and stamina building, increases flexibility and balance, never mundane and always the potential for improvement. But the very best thing about this yoga is it is so relaxing.
- Pros: Parking, instuctors, class times
It's just like they say... not a quick fix but an amazing journey
by alexsom
You can do this!! It really isn't easy but it's possible for everyone. Here you see all kinds of people doing yoga. I feel stronger, easier in my body and mind after only a few weeks. This is the hardest but the best thing I have ever done, and I feel energetic after my classes!! I'm 56 and I am not flexible or strong and I have an achey body. When I do this yoga I feel great!
- Pros: easy parking, beautiful facility, great staff
- Cons: well, like I said, it isn't easy
