Endolyne Joe's is always re-inventing it's menu with a theme and it's always worth trying something new. I prefer breakfast at Joe's more so than dinner. The coffee is strong and the breakfast is hearty and good -everything a good breakfast should be. Good bloody Mary's! And all of the drinks are decent if you are meeting friends for dinner..

Pros: Good food

Cons: Not always the menu you may like if you aren't into trying new things

Wow! So that's what goes on at Endolyne Joe's, kitchen guys spitting in the potatoes. That must be yuummy for all the customers. What a great way to promote the place you work at, and take pride in it as well! Chow Foods sure is lucky to have you as an employee. I thought my one and sure to be my last trip to Endolyne Joes was perhaps due to the bad service and high prices- oh and not so good food, but now I'm quite certain I'll chalk it up to reading your post instead.

Being as we live close to Endolyne Joes, we end up going there fairly often by default. There are not a lot of other options in this part of west seattle. We have had good experiences and bad expereiences. I can say that after a recent horrible experience, the manager and owner personally followed up to make sure we received a gift card to come back. That is good management policy and interest in your restaurant. I can say I think their heart is in the right place. However, on our return trip, we were faced with the same problems. Mediocre food. Cold food. Too long of a wait for burgers and breakfast. And they are VERY picky about where they ask you to sit. There can be four booths open but they are going to do everything possible to put you at that one uncomfortable table they WANT you to sit at. I've had managers there tell me that they let customers sit at whatever open table is requested, but that is just not the case. Or that communcation is not being enforced with their hosting staff. Regardless, it's rude and inconsiderate of the people who will be providing your tip at the end of that dining experience. And it's happened to us three times in a row there. For the most part, the servers are nice and friendly. Our issue is with the kitchen and the host staff. Those are two huge components of a restaurant, however, which makes this place "just okay." We will probably go back. But if they were to open a nicer place a block away...we will go there instead.

Pros: Good waitstaff

Cons: Slow kitchen. Rude Host

I have tried three of Chow Foods restaurants (company that owns Endolyne Joes) and I have always been greatly disapointed. At Atlas Foods, 5 Spot and now Endolyne Joes. I have went in excited to try the food as the place looks great and the menu has some great options. At each place there is one or two popular dishes and one of them is a type of fried chicken. It is not even served until 6 pm (which in it self is odd as what is the point of having a dinner menu when certain dishes come out at certain times). At the last two places I sat down and was told 20 min. after ordering they were out, all without a real sincere caring or discount or anything to make it right. Walking into Joes I really wanted this one to work out as the Chow foods concept sounds great but again I was dissapointed. Walking in I was actually greated properly (never happened at other two places) and was seated quickly. However, it all went down hill after that. Sat for 5 min or so and were ready to order a chicken platter. Was told after figuring out what to get was told "all out" all with a non caring attutide and no trying to make it right. I wanted to leave but I was so hungry I tried a pork sandwhich. While the food was good it does not make up for poor planning and non caring staff. It was 6:45 and the chicken didn't start being made until 6pm like the other two places. Any good restuarant knows what is popular and plans accordingly. I heard many other tables being upset as well by being told the popular dish was all out. Not a good way to run a eatting establishment. And to top it off I asked for a side of remoulade (sp?) to dip my fries in. Waitress got it for me but never told me it cost .50 cents. Got that suprise while looking over bill. I didn't say anything as I just wanted to leave at that point. While its only .50 cents its just low to hide charges for dipping sauces all after bad service. I left and have come to the conclusion, in my opinion, the owners of chow foods don't care.

Pros: Good food when in, some prices ok

Cons: Poor planning, non caring wait staff, some items over priced

We dined here last night, my first time and my fiance's second time, and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Troy, was quite efficient and had a great sense of humor. What a character! The food was fabulous. I enjoyed the unusual combination of flavors. And the dessert was excellent too. What a memorable meal. I wish all wait staff was as entertaining as Troy. We will definitley go there again.

Pros: Troy was an entertaining waiter, food was delicious

Cons: Food took a little long to get to the table

As a West Seattle resident, I was excited in 2004 (or whenever it opened) to have a "better" type of restaurant in my neighborhood. Upon opening, the food was good and it was a great family & neighborhood hangout. I especially loved the atmosphere, with its beautiful bar, the changeable art, and open kitchen. Since then, it's gone downhill. Not sure if d r u g s have anything to do with it. C'mon guys, West Seattle is a family-oriented neighborhood, get the employees who need it into rehab! It's highly overrated for the price at this point, now that the inital novelty of a decent restaurant in West Seattle has worn off. I'm glad that their regular menu features foods out of the ordinary, such as the calamari-napa salad, but it's a bummer when a supposedly "neighborhood-friendly" joint still doesn't have pasta marinara on the kids' menu, and you have to ask that green stuff be omitted every time. This is not an unusual request for kids, folks. From 2004-2006, we went there many times and tried many different dishes and it was always hit-or-miss-- sometimes we got some fabulous tender pulled pork, and other times dishes tasted like they were just warmed up after sitting out all day. Ew. But the one thing that has been consistent since late 2005 is snottiness from the hostess/manager and waitstaff. There are a few RARE exceptions of course. My second to last time there, in late 2006, the manager/hostess left us standing out in the freezing cold long after they were supposed to open at 5:30 PM because there was a "staff menu and wine tasting" that went later than anticipated. In fact, when customers knocked on the door, instead of opening it and graciously apologizing to the waiting patrons, she spoke to us THROUGH THE WINDOW that it would be 10 more minutes (did they have to stash the coke?). No apology for the 20 minute delay. Very unprofessional. I realize West Seattle is desperate, but don't patronize establishments that don't appreciate you

We love Endolyne Joe's! I like the way that the menu changes but they still keep the same basics on the menu. It's fun to see what they have new. They have great drinks and great service.

Its your basic good comfort food. Lots of food and warm setting. The night menu gets a little pricey for what you get, but the constantly changing menu is great. The brunch is pretty basic and the place is packed. You may have to wait for a table but there really isn't anything else in that nieghborhood like it.

Pros: rotating menu

Cons: dinner prices

I ordered the mexican bass, which was very overcooked and had lost most of its moisture. It was served with roasted red potatoes which was were still hard and crispy in the center, but lightly toasted on the outside, dripping with oil. The broccolini was crispy, but also extremely greasy. My friend ordered the carribbean (j-rk) chicken, which was excellent, served with some sort of fried hushpuppy type fritters. For dessert, we had the fruit crisp, which is large enough to share with the entire table and changes every few days. It was the highlight of the meal. Overall, I'd skip the food and go for (the stiff) drinks and dessert. People we asked told us the food quality swing wildly, depending on who is doing the cooking that night. I think the chefs need to taste before they plate the food or get a fish thermometer. (I know most people are paranoid in general about raw fish, but this was overkill.) Thumbs up for the service, which was friendly and helpful. It also has a lively bar scene of locals (though a noise ordinance closes the outdoor patio early).

Pros: Desserts, stiff drinks

Cons: Overcooked fish, undercooked potatoes, greasy veggies
