Ok the only reason it gets 2 stars is because the food was actually pretty good.. If you're willing to put up with the longest wait time ever for it. I got there at 1:00, the people ahead of me were chatting with the some guy behind the register for about 10 minutes and never acknowledging my existence. I had never been there before who knew I was supposed to sign up on a wait list, they certainly didn't help me. All I saw was a sign that said "please wait to be seated" which you might want to not have this sign if that's not going to happen. After signing up it was another 5 minutes before somebody even looked at the list (there were plenty of free tables). After waiting 15 minutes to be seated in a place that had empty tables since I arrived, I ordered the crave omlette, which took an astonishing 30 minutes to prepare. My coffee actually got cold waiting for my food. There were people who had been sitting there since I walked in the resturant who got their food at the same time as me (> 45 minute wait!). The food was fine, but I won't go back unless I have a sudden desire to waste an hour waiting.
Pros: Food was ok.
Cons: They're just making omlettes, why does it take so f'ing long.

This has to be one of the worst places in town, so why does it have such a high rating? I ate here with my boyfriend, who is not exactly a picky eater, and neither one of us enjoyed our meal. It was so unappetizing, I can't even remember what it was that we ordered. Don't waste your time, unless you like being abused and disgusted.
Pros: None
Cons: Everything

I just moved here from NM, where the service is not the best, but even I was appalled by what happened at Crave last Saturday. We arrived in the a.m. to find there was a 1 hour wait for a party of 4. So, finally after waiting 2 hours, we were next on the list! Waiting patiently, we noticed another group of 4 come in & hug a waitress. She served them mimosas in the waiting area and continued serving her tables. ***** ******** ****** ****** ******* ****** ********* *** *** **** AFTER ANOTHER 15 MINUTES, SHE COMPLETLEY SKIPPLED OVER OUR GROUP TO SEAT HER FRIENDS! *** ******** ********** ********** *********** ********** ********* We asked to speak with a manager, but were told there was none available. The hostess also told us that that particular table was reserved for parties of 5 ONLY! Which was a complete lie, because there were 3 people sitting there earlier. And, the table of "friends" were only a group of 4. (Same as us) Then another waitress told us she just didn't see our name ?! I guess she didn't see the other 10 people who were before her friends either?! Eventually after waiting for 2 1/2 hours, our breakfast took almost 40 minutes to arrive. There was no green chile in the potatoes (as stated on the menu) and they had no clean mimosa glasses. **** **** ***** ********** ************* ***** ****** ************ OUR SECOND ROUND WAS SERVED INTO THE DIRTY, USED GLASSES FROM OUR FIRST ORDER! UGK! ****** ****** ********* ********** ********* ********* ******* *** Our water glasses went unfilled the entire meal, and we would have ordered several more round of mimosas, however our waitress was completely inattentive. I watched one cook texting on his cell phone, then continue cooking without washing his hands. It was completely disgusting. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.
Pros: Pomegrante Mimosas were great
Cons: service and cleanliness were dreadful

i realize there's just one gal bustling around that tiny kitchen to get the food out but the fact is we were there for 2 hours because service is so slow. that gal needs extra help! the food was good but we were so hungry waiting for our meals that mostly we filled up on bread and couldn't finish my long awaited meal. the watercress salad i wouldn't recommend, tasted like lawn grass and oranges but the gnocchi and duck were both delicious.
Pros: food
Cons: takes too long to get food

Every time we go to Crave it is packed, but then it's bout 500 square feet! The service can be on or off here, and sometimes the food is slow to come out, but overall, it's really good. The mimosa eggs benedict orange shalot hollandaise is not only original but really nice. When the biscuits and gravy come out hot they can't be beat the little bits of chicken susage are so great and the gravy is just the perfect amount of saltiness. Pastries can be a little dry I have found--and yet--I always seem to need a pastry in the morning. Overall, I just love the charm of this little place. It's so cute and little. We're happy they are on our hill! Now if the staff could remember that being a little joyful is an okay thing!
Pros: Some truly original menu items
Cons: service is off and on

We had high expectations for Crave, though, due to prior reviews, were expecting sub-optimal service. Quite the contrary, the service was fantastic and the food...not better than average. They are trying to do too much with their dishes. It was dinner - not the famous brunch - so we'll save the complete impression until after brunch, but we'll be going elsewhere for dinner.

It was my first time went to this place and I will never go back there again. The food is not bad but POOR SERVICE!! First of all, we waited 45 minutes for our table, which I could understand because it's a small place, but having those they-don't-know-what-they-are-doing servers is the biggest problem. So, after we got our table, we sat for like 10-15 mins to order our food. I don't need a server came to our table, told us about the special, but not ready to take our orders?! We ended up wait for 35 mins to get our food and they were not even right. Servers totally messed up our orders and say obvisouly they didn't care. I used to work as a server and I just don't get it, servers need some training at Crave. I will never ever go back there again. There are so many places out there have great brunch and great service but this place seriously is not one of those.

I've been here for breakfast a few times and it's always awesome. The Dutch Baby "Pancake" with apple is my new favorite thing ever--I'm not a huge normal pancake fan, but this was entirely different. The most thick, delicious, custardy treat I've ever had for breakfast, and topped with an outrageous espresso whipped cream! Their teas are awesome, Umbria is their wonderful coffee, their prices aren't bad, and their service has never been slow. Yay!
Pros: All the food, decent prices, good date spot, good solo spot at bar.
Cons: Teeeeeny space, so gets full fast.

As a breakfast lover I am always looking for new great spots to heighten my enjoyment of my favorite meal of the day. This quest recently took me Crave, which was widely reviewed as one of the best for breakfast in Seattle. At first I had high hopes and the open kitchen and small modern bistro feel intrigued me. The ambiance seemed a little confused as to whether it was a café or a restaurant and it opened into a wider area, which made the dining area extremely cold. So cold in fact that my coffee was like ice every few minutes. The service was slow but good. I got a pomegranate mimosa, which was tasty and reasonably priced. All may have turned out well if it had not been for the confused menu and misguided food preparation. I am very open to new takes on comfortable favorites but even in the descriptions of the food it was clear that the chef has missed the mark. After much difficulty selecting from their fairly short breakfast menu, I selected a crab omelet, which was to come with a cornmeal crusted potato pancake, my breakfast companion ordered the apple Dutch Baby. The crab omelet was described as prepared with roasted red and pablano peppers. What arrived was a mayonnaise laden crab salad with a few (possible canned) green chilies, no red peppers, and a preponderance of capers all glopped between the folds of an omelet. The potato pancake, someone’s weak idea of a croquette, was actually mashed potato which didn’t even seem to be reheated following the application of the cornmeal and was cold. It had no crisp, no flavor, and no flair. The attempt at a Dutch baby was not anything like a Dutch Baby, but tasted good even if the apples were few and hardly cooked. Overall it was an ok café and if I knew I was in for an average café attempting to do an almost upscale menu I would have possibly enjoyed it, but one of the best breakfasts in Seattle…NO WAY!
Pros: Ambeince, good coffee, open kitcken
Cons: FAILED ATTEMPT AT MODERN COMFORT FOOD, cold

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Seattle. Only once have I been turned away due to a lack of seating and that was on a Friday. If you hope to get a seat at this restaurant on a weekend, it's best to call ahead. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner- everything on the menu is fantastic. Their coffee is also fantastic. I have nothing but praise for Crave.
Pros: The food is consistently great and it's highly affordable.
Cons: It's small, but that's one of the reasons it is so unique. Ten tables max.
