I have a gift certificate from the old owners of Z & Z Herbal Spa that new management will not honor!!!! The expiration date on the certificate is 12/07, it is now 11/07!! The new owner won't even return my calls. The certificate is valued at $300. This is not the best business tactic for keeping customers.

I went to the ZNZ because the review is good but I am very disappointed by the environment and the services. They don't have door for room so when you change people can very easy see from outside. My first massage therapist only works on me for 20 mins and then she needed to go so I waited for a while for the replacement. Both massage therapists are not good. I really don't enjoy it at all and I only got 40 mins massage which I paid for an hour. Maybe It's my bad hair day so I didn't get treat it right, but this is how I feel about ZNZ.

Great deep tissue massage - I've had three different massage therapists on my visits and all have been excellent! Works through all the kinks, knots and aches - very good for the aspiring athlete. Staff is really nice and friendly. Atmosphere is pretty basic - no frilly spa stuff, but really clean and pretty quiet. Long hours make it easy to book last minute.

Pros: Great massage, long hours

My boyfriend and I have been here a number of times and we absolutely love it. It's really a no frills type of place. Don't expect lavish spa treatment. But do expect great pressure and great technique. Our favorites are Tina, Callie (sp?), Soong, and Maria. It's $55 for an hour, you can only use the $10 off citysearch coupon only if you're a first time customer but now you can have a punchcard and after 10 visits, you get a free massage.

Pros: clean, great pressure and technique

Love the technique and the quality of the massage. I got the hour and half and felt so great after. The best massage ever, and I am very picky about my massages. Will be back.

The service and skill level have been very inconsistent and seem to be declining. The first time we were there it was great, but after that we did not find the service satisfactory. The staff is unfriendly and does not try to make you feel comfortable. Over consecutive times we tried using first a Citysearch coupon, then a SpaFinder coupon, only to be turned down with the same excuse ("we no longer take them and we've asked to be removed"). If they had the customer's best interests in mind one would expect some sort of notice on their website or at the spa, or a more effective effort to remove those coupon listings (as it has been going on for at least a few months).

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Unfriendly Staff, Inconsistent Service, Coupon Issues

I've been to about 20 different LMPs and have tried all the different types of massage therapy. Qi-gong Tuina massage is simply better than other methods. It has the effect of deep tissue massage but is as relaxing as swedish. I won't say which therapist I like the best because then it will be harder to get her <g>

I am originally from Japan and I travel a lot to Asia. Every time I travel to Asia, I enjoy spa service and relax my mind and body. Since I cannot travel to Asia to get a massage service all the time, I tried out many massage places here in the Seattle area. One of my friends recommended Z&Z Herbal Spa, so I tried them out. I must admit that they are one of the BEST massage place in the world! Although I have to travel for 45 minutes to get there, their massage service is great so I keep going there once in a while. So I recommend them highly.
