This place is only recieving one star because there is no option to give it a ZERO rating. I took my daughter here for her birthday with my family with hopes of having a grand dining experience. I shouldn't have bought into the hype. When we first walked around the resteraunt it was disgusting. The floor was sticky everywhere we walked. The food was left out to long, and most options they chose not to replenish. I tried to speak with the manager about this issue and I got no more than a cold response and two other people he had me talk to about the problems I had. They just kept trying to say that everybody is different and that some people leave saying it's their favorite restraunt. My comment to them was that some people are sheep and they obviousely don't know what good food is. The food here was mediocre at best. Personally I've had better sushi from Albertson's, which is very sad. My advise to anybody wanting to go here is this: Don't believe the hype, and don't burn your money here. You will just be upset you wasted so much for so little.

The crab on fried won-ton skin was exquisite. The rest was poor to so-so. But the crab was divine. The yaki-sobi noodles were good, too. Pot-stickers were so-so. Since It is all you can eat, you might be able to justify regular visits by gorging on crab and fresh fruit.

Sorry but for the price of lunch and dinner I would expect better presentation. Granted this place has a diverse array of sushi, hot foods, salads, and pastries but being a buffet the result ends up being a complete mess when people pick through the items. It becomes unappetizing and unappealing especially when you spend $$ on your meal. The food is not bad...the restaurant just needs to be aware of presentation and periodically "tidy up" the buffet areas when things get messy. It just gives me the impression of being a feeding trough rather than a nice buffet. Furthermore, it's an all-you-can-eat at anytime buffet so I wish mr. or ms. public would be aware not to take 20 pieces of shrimp tempura when they know there are other people in line behind them probably wanting the same thing. :) Thanks

Pros: Food variety

Cons: Price, presentation at times

I was convinced by someone cute to accompany them to Todai for lunch, and against my better judgement I went. The "sushi" selection consists of a sparse plate of various nasty looking rolls and infinetessimally small nigiri pieces. The nigiri pieces were limited to shrimp, maguro, and salmon (sake). Funny enough, the fish was actually reasonably fresh and tasty. The only problem is they put out so few pieces and rarely restock so it was only ever possible to get one or two tiny nigiri pieces at a time. The hot food is high school cafeteria quality - various scary looking asian-inspired dishes drying out under heatlamps. There was a cold tofu salad in the cold section that I actually did enjoy. I didn't get fifteen bucks worth of enjoyment out of it however. I can't imagine paying the outrageous price for dinner at Todai, the lunch price was bad enough. I'll never go back.

Pros: Nigiri pieces actually not bad

Cons: Nigiri pieces require tweezers and microscope to eat

I hate sushi and I loved this place!! :) I went for a friend's birthday and it was perfect for a large group. The all-you-can-eat buffet is superb! Not only is there every kind of sushi imaginable, but there's crab legs, tons of shrimp, a whole warm food section with fried rice, chow mein, chicken, pork, etc. and a dessert section. Plus, you can't forget the cooks in the back just waiting to make you a fresh crepe! AND the Fondue! It is definitely a restaurant to go when you're hungry and make no mistake--you will leave satisfied.

Pros: Great selection

Cons: Noisy

The sushi selection is the best that I have seen, and it all tastes pretty good. I maninly go for the sushi, however, they have great soups, salads, and a hot bar full of all kinds of foods from dumplings to generals tao's chicken. Expect to pay about 15-20 a person depending on if it is for lunch or dinner. I would also advise you call a head to check for the hours, becuse I think sometimes they stop serving food at 2 pm

Pros: Great sushi selection

Cons: Sometimes it can be packed, weird hours

If you want to stuff your face in a relatively healthy manner this is a good way to do it. I usually gorge myself on the sushi, which is pretty good quality. There is plenty of stuff for people of different tastes and the desert selection is great too. The only drawback is the price. Even lunch is expensive at fifteen per person; dinner is usually around twenty five.

Pros: Slection, Sushi

Cons: Price

I was skeptical after reading others' negative reviews, but I had a fun time. No, the sushi's not EXCELLENT quality but it's a free $25 meal. They have a huge selection of food, and I thought that everything was good. Not great, but good, and I will be there again. I find that with most of the "medium-quality" sushi places you mostly get the spicy wasabi and salty soy sauce taste anyway, without focusing on the fish, and I got that yummy mix of flavors while at Todai -- plus, loads of salads and hot entrees to fill me up as well.

Pros: Cheap on birthday!

Cons: Sushi does sit out -- duh, it's a buffet

This place was bad, i been to a few todai's (OR and CA) but this one was special :). The setup is much nicer than the other todai's but the amount of food was limited and the food was bad. Tater tots and the ramen were very good, thats the only thing i liked. The tuna was warm, yeah always a good idea to have warm tuna. I asked them to make me 3 tuna hand rolls and i received spicy tuna and a cucumber (a bit thick piece of cucumber). I eat anything so I really didnt have a problem with it, but it was difficult. Its like Carl Jr. made these hand rolls, SPLAT! Most of the fish was warm and falling apart, not much flavor and I dont even think the fish was good quality to start with. (no yellow tail ). Hot foods are OK only if you get them when they just bring them out else they are dried like wood. Oh yeah the hard cookies are good, not a big fan on hard cookies but they were worth it. Dont go here just go somewhere else with fresher selection. If you do go here there are 10% of coupons downstairs near the information desk.

Pros: tater tots and ramen

Cons: japanese food was very very bad

I loved this place the first time I went and could not wait until I went a second time. The second time I went, the experience was just barely ok. The food did not taste very good at all (the sushi was fine, though) and so I would have to give it an average. It is still kind of pricey.

Pros: selection, taste (some stuff)

Cons: hit or miss, price
