My husband and I decided to dine here after enjoying Lola's food at a party at the Palace Ballroom. The food was really delicious, if a bit expensive. We enjoyed the spreads as an hors d'oeuvre. We had the feta spread and the fig and olive spread and really liked both. (As a side note, it seemed a little ridiculous to have to pay $3.50 for extra pita bread for the spreads.) My husband had the octopus and I had the greek salad. The salad was outstanding ... really fresh and yummy with great quality ingredients. My husband enjoyed the octopus, but I think if we go back, we'll just split the salad. We each had a tagine as an entree. My goat tagine was fabulous. The meat was so tender and flavorful. My husband's lamb tagine was really good too but not as wonderful as the goat. We had the "doughnuts" for dessert and they were tasty but nothing special in our opinion. The cocktails were good, especially my husband's sidecar, and we both enjoyed the "house" wine. Service was polite, efficient, and prompt. Our server made great menu recommendations and was gracious about the fact that our salads arrived before the spreads. Also, the reservations staff and hostess were very kind to us. We had a reservation for 9:15 on Saturday night, but they told my husband when he made the reservation on Thursday to call Saturday morning to see if they could fit us in earlier in the event of last-minute cancellations, and they wound up moving our reservation to 8:30 pm. When we showed up at 7:45 pm planning to enjoy a drink at the bar before being seated, they were able to seat us right away, which was great for us tired young parents! Overall it was a really nice night out. It is a little pricey, even considering the high quality of the food and service, but it is well worth it for a treat!

Pros: Delicious food, kind service, fun atmosphere

we were recommended by someone local to go there for good food and atmosphere. we have been walking seattle all afternoon and were very tired and hungry. and to say the least we were very disappointed when we left. the atmosphere is very loud and pretentious, yet the food was sub-par. we ordered the prawn kebab, chicken kebab and smoked lamb with sides of garlic fried potatoes and asparagus. the prawns were pretty good and the fried potatoes were also very good. unfortunatly the chicken consisted of these pathetic little pieces of meat were dill destroyed the dish and made my chicken taste like fish. and not to mention that the pathetic little kebabs were 11 dollars each. robbery! the smoked lamb was served cold and tasted like roast beef. my wife ordered the lamb, and she is middle eastern having been raised in the middle east eating properly prepared lamb. so the main dishes were a total bust and definately not worth price. the dill that slaughtered the chicken is not expensive enough to justify such a big price. ultimately they have overly pretentious attitude that is not backed up by the food, and we will gladly spend money on a meal that is worth it. lola is not worth it.

Pros: the water is good

Cons: the bedet in the bathroom was cold

This was a very interesting dinning experience. Upscale with a causal feel that is comforting. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of different flavors offered and the Brussels sprouts were the best I have ever had! Even people who despise these mini cabbages would find these palatable. The one thing I did not like about the food was the Roasted Lamb, as I had to keep removing fat and gristle objects from my mouth that i was unable to chew; which I found to be embarrassing and annoying. The overall flavor of the Lamb was very good and the sauce was delightful but the toughness and inability to throughly chew the meat is inexcusable for a Tom Douglas restaurant. I will absolutely go back but will not be ordering the Lamb. I highly recommend the Spare Ribs, Smashed potatoes and the appetizer spreads! The Service was also very very good.

Pros: Brussels Sprouts and Service!

Cons: Noise, and Roast Lamb

My mom and I went here recently and we were really impressed with the food. We had to make it to a play at the 5th Avenue so we were advised to only get salads and kabobs in order to make it in time. We started off with Greek salads that were wonderful. The cherry tomatoes were juicy and flavorful and the feta cheese was soooo good. All the ingredients were fresh and the dressing was perfect - not too greasy like some Greek salads can get. We then had a spread that was similar to hummus but a bit different and we couldn't stop raving about it. The pita bread was warm and a little crusty and the spread tasted garlicy and yummy. We then shared salmon, chicken, and lamb kabobs. The lamb was very good but the chicken and salmon were run of the mill. Overall our meal was pretty spendy but I would say it was worth it, and I have plans to go back soon.

Pros: Great food, Greek Salad, Spreads, Ambience

Cons: Pricey

After staying at Hotel Andra which is in the same location, we dropped in for breakfast. The food was so good. The omelettes had Beechers Flagship cheese! The potatoes are different but delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Pros: Great breakfast

Cons: A little cramped

I love to see two things on menus: mojitos and grilled octupus. And Lola had both. The "lojito" at Lola and the grilled octupus salad were amazing. All the food we ordered was great! So flavorful and cooked perfectly.

I'd heard a lot of negative comments about Lola, so I went into my recent Urban Eats dinner not expecting much...and I got what I expected. I began the evening with a "Greek martini" which was rather uninspired in that the only Hellenic touch seemed to be the cube of feta cheese wedged into a standard green olive. Though the meatball appetizer from the Urban Eats menu was good, the olive-fig spread was barely palatable and the cauliflower-anchovy puree just OK. Thumbs-up on the great tsatsiki, however. The halibut was very blah and was NOT served with avgolemono soup as billed--rather, the fish arrives in a thin lemon-egg sauce topped carelessly with some herbs and greens. Sadly, I even found the Turkish coffee ice cream to be unenjoyable with it's high water content and gritty coffee grounds. The service at Lola was pleasant but not extremely attentive--we were asked to change tables part way through our meal to make way for a large group, and at least they did comp our drinks. The inexpensive Greek red wine was quite good. I might return to Lola for a happy hour but I wouldn't spend the $$$ on another dinner there.

Pros: Belltown location, good bar service, tasty tsatsiki

Cons: Disappointing food

While in Seattle I felt I had to try another of Chef Tom Douglas's restaurant having been to the others. Our experience was pretty good but a few of the dishes were not up to our hopes/expectations. Service was very good, location was great, parking easy and the drinks we have were nearly perfect. Only complaint was the scallops I ordered were under cooked.. Actually cold. I will give the place another shot on my next night out in downtown Seattle. Everyone else at the table liked their meals so maybe I got the un lucky straw.

Pros: Location, parking, service

Cons: scallops were cold

Four of us went there for a Saturday lunch and left disappointed and still hungry. The hostess only gave us three menus, even though there were four of us. We told her we needed another, but she never brought it. Our disappearing waiter took 20 minutes to take our order, and another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Two of us ordered the lamb burger ,which came with soggy salt-laden chickpea “fries.” I could get something tastier at Dick’s for a fraction of the price and with swifter service. The salmon kabob was fatty, leaving much to be desired. The Greek salad was a simple un-gourmet mixture of tomato and cheese. Despite vacant tables and few diners, our food took an unprofessionally long time and arrived lukewarm. When our entrée finally did arrive, we placed our dessert orders as we were crunched for time and did not want to wait another 40 minutes after completing our entree for our dessert. The waiter then immediately brought our dessert and placed it on the table even though we had just begun to pick at our undetectable entrees. Bad service and exotic yet salty and untasty food accompanied by a flashy “chef” name is an experience only the pretensions can enjoy.

Cons: Portions, food, taste, price, everything

This is a fabulous restaurant! Always consistent on food, great service and ambiance. Everyone who I've ever recommended here has also come back with rave reviews. We recently had the snapper, duck, and squash with pears, and we thought we had died and gone to heaven.

Pros: Interesting dishes, fun to share plates
