U-Save Moving

We used U-Save Moving to move just a few blocks and overall the move went smoothly. The drivers were on time in the morning and had a good attitude. U-Save also provided a packer, who did a pretty good job and was fairly inexpensive. We were moved in within a few hours, with (tricky Ikea) furniture reassembled. We did have some damage done to our piano, which had several scratches on it. We had asked on the phone if they move pianos, and were advised to use a professional piano moving company--but when we asked the movers themselves, they decided to do it. The owner was understandably upset about the situation, and even though he felt some of the responsibility lay with us, after much discussion, he paid for the piano to be fixed (one side was refinished) and delivered it to our home personally. In other words, even though he didn't feel he was wrong, U-Save ended up following through. That's why, in the end, I'd still recommend U-Save for the general quality, price and customer-comes-first service.

I used U-Save moving in September. They were very communicative about when the truck was going to show. This was especially important since they got hung up at a previous site. When they arrived the employees on the truck were just great and very helpful. They moved me quickly and the rates were very fair.

Great service from really nice people. Right from the first phone call to the set up of furniture this was a terrific company to deal with. The treated my belongings with care and moved quickly. It was an extremely rainy day and the movers took the time to protect my carpeting. I have recommended them to all my friends. They made my stressful day a pleasant one.

*****BEWARE******I did everything right for our easy short-distance move in Seattle. I booked several weeks in advance, I called to confirm the day before etc... The morning of our move I got a confirmation call letting me know that they would be at our place between 1-2pm for the move. At 1pm we got a call from Doug saying that the driver of the truck was too sick to carry on and they would not be able to move us. I asked what his back-up plan was and he said that he didn't have one. I said that he could send the other gentleman and we would help him load the truck and he said that guy did not have a license. I then suggested that Doug drive the truck and he said that he was going to his son's football game. What a well run business! Oh well, I guess they did save us money-- $400 because they never showed up! I do not recommend this company--there is far better and cheaper!!!!

Pros: We saved $400

U-Save moved me from Seattle to Portland and did a fantastic job. Pat and Garrett hustled the entire day without damaging any of my stuff, were polite and friendly and I would definitely recommend U-Save to anyone. The quote Doug gave me over the phone and the final price I was charged were almost exactly the same (the actual charge was slightly less than the quote) and there were no hidden or surprise costs. Give them a call - they do a great job!!

Pros: Efficient, polite, no damage to any items

We just used this mover a week ago, and they were nothing short of fantastic! They sent two guys who arrived on time, were courteous, friendly, and worked hard. They didn't take a break for lunch, didn't break any of our things, didn't dent any of our walls, and were overall just fantastic to work with. We had a short staircase at our pickup end, and two full staircases at the destination end and they never complained once. I covered the floors at the destination, but they were so careful I probably didn't need to do that. My only slight issue was that they didn't bring the wardrobe boxes - you might want to double check with the office to make sure they are bringing them. I would definitely recommend them, and will use them again if I need a mover.

Pros: Prompt, courteous, friendly careful service

Cons: Forgot wardrobe boxes!

These guys are great. They came promptly, were extremely friendly, moved everything fast (including the troublesome couch that had bothered my old roommate so much he sold it to me cheap rather than deal with moving it), and set everything up in the new place. I couldn't recommend them more. Made moving so easy, I can't think of why I was stressing about it! Go for these guys.

Several pieces of the furniture were damaged by movers. Movers would not admit doing the damage. They said that they "did not see it". The way movers were handling furniture was dispeakable. It seemed like they never done it before. They bump dresser on the wall and displaced the drawer. After they left we discovered that box spring support rails were not screwed to the bedframe - had to find screws and redo ourselfs. I would never hire them again.

Pros: seemed cheaper then others

Cons: bad handling of property

A few days after my wife and I paid a small fortune to move into our new place I had an accident that resulted in a knee being replaced. Being in a HUGE panic about how we could possible get moved on what was left of our monthly budget we called Doug at U-Save. He was courteous and understanding of our situation and got us scheduled right away and on a day that worked for us at the very last minute. We had never used a moving service before, but that was mainly because of all the horror stories that we had heard. If you want a clean, fast, and affordable move done, these are the guys that you have to call. Thanks U-Save, you really pulled us out of a bad situation. We've used U-Save for our last two moves. Both times, the movers were very fast, careful, and efficient with moving all of our stuff. Last year they even combined our two households into one in just four hours! They made it all so easy for us, moving was actually a joy. We've recommended this company to many people, and definitely plan on using them again the next time we move.

Pros: Prompt, fast, personable service, great value!
