I was new to Seattle and needed a cut and color! I came across Soci on City Search and the reviews were so great I made an appointment! I have now been in Seattle for a couple years and Kim is still my hair stylist! Soci is comfortable and everyone is friendly! My hair always looks fabulous! I always have people asking me where i had it done! Kim always does exactly what I want, even if I don't know what that is when I walk in:) I highly recommend Kim and Soci Hair Studio!

Pros: Atmostphere, stylists!

Cons: parking can sometimes be rough but not always!

I was referred by a friend to have my hair fixed by Kim. i had the color done elsewhere and was unhappy with it and was sure i'd have to live with it. My friend told me to see Kim who had been doing her hair for 7 years and had fixed her color before. I did and have healthy, happy hair again. The process was more simple than I expected and my color is great. i would recommend Kim to anyone.

I followed Shannon Cotton to Soci from Mode and I would follow her anywhere. I originally got her name from a website for people with naturally curly hair that said she was the best in Seattle and I totally agree! I seriously had never in my life had a good haircut until I found Shannon and now I get compliments on my naturally curly hair all the time.

I read the reviews on this site and decided to have my color and cut fixed by Kim. I had it done elsewhere and felt like it may be a helpless situation. She was able to fit me in the next day and gave me many options to a solution. My hair not only looked better than i expected but it felt healthier than before . I am more than pleased and scheduled my next appointment to maintain this beautiful color and cut. The salon was very relaxing and easy to find coming from Bellevue.

I wore my hair the same style for years until Nasrin suggested I try something different. I'm so pleased with my new style and look. It's hip ,current and fits my age,personality and face. I'm glad I found her. Thanks for my new look and great cut.

I saw Rachel for a facial and had a great experience. She made me feel right at home and has a very gentle touch. Her room is truly a minature oasis. Nice colors, decor, and fantastic music. Very relaxing..I'm feeling sleepy just thinking about it! Have also had her do my brows and was very pleased with the results. Will definitely see her again.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, great services

Cons: Easy to miss the building when driving down the street. Better signage would help.

I checked out this salon solely based on reviews I read online, which obviously, seemed positive. And I never thought I'd post something, but really felt compelled to after my very negative experience here. All I can say is, I must have found myself somewhere different to the salon described above. Although I was early for my appointment, the stylist was apologising to her next client that she was "running a bit late" as I was returning from having my hair washed. This doesn't bode well for a good haircut - knowing she feels rushed, and you're not even combed out yet somehow on borrowed time - especially as you've warned her in advance of your long hair that needs a good cut - which you've discussed. After about five minutes - literally - of her time, and barely a quarter of an inch off, I left looking far worse than I'd arrived. On top of that she was short, bordering on rude - I wondered if it's just the regular clients that deserve the good treatment I read about? I'm fairly new to Seattle and I know this isn't indicative of everyone - but here's a warning: don't believe all you read. Friends in their postings can boost someone's ratings very high, when in reality, service - and standards - can be pretty poor.

I have seen Kim and Zan for my services. They are so professional and always make time to fit me in. They have over 10 years experience and it shows! I am always pleased with my color and haircut and they are always sharing new ideas with me. I recommend either Kim or Zan to anyone who wants to find a stylist who is consistent, professional and experienced.

O.K., after months of being hounded by my wife and her girlfriends friends to get my hair styled at Soci again (I went to other salons for a few months) I went back to Gloria. Wow! Let me say it again: WOW!! From Gloria (bella Siciliana!) I am getting absolutely the best hair cut/styling I have ever had - (she gets better and better).......but Gloria isn't the only great stylist: I've seen Deb, Ari & Danny make their clients look drop dead gorgeous. They do amazing work. Try this place --- my bet is that you'll never go anywhere else. Great for both men and women of all ages.

Pros: Skill of hair stylists, friendliness, professionalism

Cons: Could use a more visible neon sign in front.

Nasrin was just great. Excellent hair cut/styling. Great atmosphere at this location. Pleasant environment combined with the outcome of being a happy customer will lead to my returning. Could add so much more, but you have to try it to arrive at the same conclusion. Nasrin is well trained and seeks customer's input on what is required. I am one happy customer.

Pros: Great staff - Nasrin is one great stylist.

Cons: Parking, but you will find it in 5 minutes not to worry.
