Two years ago I decided to make the substantial investment in a full-mouth restoration. My teeth were a mess. I had old, deep silver fillings and a broken molar. I had another consultation with a cosmetic dentist in the Seattle area before I decided to go with Dr. McNeill-O'Connor. The results were marvelous and life changing! I was very pleased, considering the state of my teeth before the work. However, Dr. Karen was concerned with the seating of one molar where a deep cavity left little tooth for even the most talented dentist to work with. It never bothered me. After the restoration was complete, I continued with her practice until a job change made it difficult to visit their Redmond office for routine cleanings. They were happy to refer me to a dentist closer to where I work and even made my first appointment. Being the perfectionist, Dr. Karen insisted before I transfer dentists that she rework the challenging area, costing her extra hours and materials and saving me the discomfort, time and expense of a crown lengthening procedure. I agree with other reviewers who advise if you are satisfied with dental care that you would rate "satisfactory" by your layperson's standard, you'll be astounded by her tenacity to give you the healthiest teeth ever!
Pros: Comforting atmosphere

Nowadays, it's common for most dentists to advertise "General and Cosmetic Dentistry". Don't be fooled. There is a big difference between those who are actualy trained in cosmetic and advanced reconstructive dentistry and those who are not. Dentists earn their doctorate degrees at various universities or colleges. (Dr. McNeill received her doctorate from The University of Washington). Of course some colleges are better than others, but my real point is colleges only teach a very basic level of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. If your looking for a filling, or other basic dental care..then fine, but if your looking for more..such as any kind of cosmetic, smile makeover...veneers.. full reconstructive..etc...then you need to find a dentist that has this level of advanced training. This training is only learned at a handful of facilities in the US and certainly not at any college. The best and most prestigous is LVI in Los Vegas, Nevada. This is where Dr. McNeill went for her advanced studies. She is a "LVI Graduate" ...meaning she completed all courses, (not just a few courses that some dentists take). This advanced training is ardous and and expensive investment for any dentist to make. In Seattle, there's really only handful dentists who are truly qualified with this training. Furthermore, I would ask the dentist how many "full mouth reconstructions" he or she has performed and for how long? I would suggest 5 years and over. In my experience, Dr McNeill and only 2 other dentists in Seattle have this experience. I had 12 veneers and gum reshaping not to mention some health related..a filling and a root canal. Anyways, I love my results, thought the services and technology they have at their disposal is top notch. Excellent!!
Pros: Superior - Advanced cosmetic and reconstructive experience

I live in NY and flew out here to have my smile makeover done at Smile Artistry. Love the results. I had a complete smile makeover done and I feel like a new smile has changed my outlook. I did research...people in Seattle are lucky...I don't think Manhatten can compete with the service I received. Excellent service, excellent results...worth the trip!
Pros: Excellent, professional, great results, love my smile makeover

I spent many hours researching and many appointments at various dentists. Undoubtedly the best, if in the market for a smile makeover. My new smile has changed my life, I look 10 years younger. Dr. McNeill-O'Connor is very detailed in her work.

Smile makeover? The best by far! There is a vast difference between dentists who offer 'cosmetic dentistry' and those who offer full mouth reconstructions. This is another industry unto itself. It is a far cry from general dentistry also. For example, if you want a patch me up, "I don't really care filling"..go elsewhere. If you care how your smile looks then this is probably the place. If you want a smile makeover, this definately the place. 99.9% of dentists do not have the experience or advanced training necessary for smile makeovers. Point beingSmile Artistry are the most highly trained and skilled for cosmetic or advanced restorative work. After 'separating the men from the boys,' I visited 4 practices offering full mouth reconstructions. I researched Dr. Karen to have as much or more experience than the others. Other thoughts.she has taste and style. That goes a long way when designing a smile for the more discerning among us. Love my new smile! Highly recommended!
Pros: professionalism, relaxing contemporary ambience, designated parking

The office is super nice and the staff is great. I was a patient last year and am still so thrilled with my smile! They make you feel very comfortable. The blankets, pillows, music, candles, etc makes you feel well taken care of. And the doctor is great. She truly cares about each patient and goes out of her way to see how you are. Diane is fabulous. She knows her stuff and couldn't be more caring. My only complaint would be the scheduling system is a bit disorganized. I got emails about appointments that I hadn't discussed with them and that didn't fit my schedule. Also some of the paper instructions they give out had tons of typos in it, it seemed odd given how professional everything else was. But overall this was a great experience. I recommend them to anyone wanting to redo their smile or for general dentistry.
Pros: staff, atmosphere, quality work
Cons: administrative detail

I love my new smile. Before I saw Dr. Karen I had always gone to a "general" dentist. What a difference. In all my 46 yrs no one had ever talked about my bite problem. Dr. Karen gave me all the information I needed to make my decission to have my teeth done. I had my bite corrected, solving all kinds of problems and got a great smile in the process. I feel and look 10 yrs younger. During the entire process I felt special and very well taken care of. If you want the best this is the office for you.

My teeth were always crooked and over the years they became more and more stained, not an attractive combination when you are in sales. They made me look unhealthy and I decided to make a change. The ironic part is, after years of embarrassment and 21 veneers later.... I had a perfect new smile almost overnight. Dentistry has evolved so much from when I was young. Dr McNeill O'Connor and the staff were terrific. Dentistry at its finest! A complete state of the art facility. I feel like it has changed my whole out look on life. It feels great to smile again.
Pros: comfortable, service, attention to detail

Dr. McNeill-OConner did my veneers. Seeing my results, I totally trust Dr. McNeill-OConners eye when it comes to smile makeovers. My veneers are perfect, white and beautiful, while still looking natural. I love my new smile! Dr. McNeill-OConners staff was wonderful, taking great care of me and making sure I was comfortable every step of the way.
Pros: highly-trained, compassionate, painless
