I don't understand why I have a daily craving for Tutta Bella??? I don't like cheese! But something about their pizzas make me like the fresh mozzarella cheese. Tutta Bella is the only pizza I'll eat. Many choices and love the good looking staff! oh and the Gelato! yummmm!

The Scene: A sparingly decorated building (the old Chili's) designed to maximize noise level to appear a hustling bustling place but with hard seats to hustle you out.

The Food:

House Salad, was great. So eat there if on a diet.

The Disaster:

We ordered the Antica for 12.50 which contained

Pomodoro San Marzano, Genoa salami, fresh mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, roasted peppers as defined in menu.

What we got:

Genoa Salami slivers, julienne style, like shoestring potatoes!

Pomodoro was pureed tomatoes with NO spices.

Mushrooms, not freshly roasted, but dry rubber

Roasted peppers? the canned kind, which to me isnt "roasted".

Mozzarella was sparing but too chunked that it left water everywhere.

2 inch FULL diameter crust with nothing on it.

Plain dried crust with burnt spots, and floppy sloppy microthin sogginess in the center under the water from the cheese and sauce.

So about 8 inch radius of food on a pizza of 10 inch that was supposed to be 12 inch approximately. Nope.

We gave our feedback and they comped our meal.

For that I forgive them, they wanted to do better and have their cooks learn. They opened too soon, because the manager came over and said "Soggy pizza?" So she knew.

So wait a month or so until they figure out how to properly run a wood oven. But good luck there all Tutta Bellas seem to have this issue

  • Pros: House salad, seated promptly good waiter, manager
  • Cons: Pizza, noise, no decore

My husband and I were staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel. We got in about 7pm so by the time we got settled we were ready for dinner but didnt want to go far. We saw Tutta Bella in the courtyard and thought why not try it. I am so glad we did. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to be ready which is no problem on a Friday night. The atmoshpere was cozy and welcoming and the smell was wonderful. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. We never ran out of water or anything else we might have needed. We got a salad and a pizza. Both were so tasty, loved the basil. That 's how real pizza should taste. Our drinks were great also. I had one with lemoncello in it. Yum!! We decided to try two different desserts. The canolli was good but it paled in comparison to the tiramisu. I was in heaven. If we had had any room left I probably would have eaten another. I will be back in Seattle in 1 1/2 week and I plan on going back to Tutta Bella. I cant wait!

  • Pros: Ambience and TIRAMISU!!
  • Cons: none

The food is good. The wine is good but the temperature in there drives me crazy because it is so cold!

TB Staff: I realize that the guys making Pizza's are hot but the ceilings are 30 feet high and the furniture in there isn't cozy so when you add a lack of thermostat use, you get a cold experience. Maybe this is strategic to turn more customers but I think you just need to dial up the heat a bit so the guests are warm while eating.

  • Pros: Food, Wine
  • Cons: Temperature of the dining area

This is some of the best pizza in Seattle. It's got a thin crust that is delicately fired, with bits of charred spots on it, delicate tomatoe sauce, fresh ingredients. I love their Quatro Stagione pizza. For dessert, their gelato is great and their espresso drinks are dark and rich.

Where to begin? Service was the worst I've ever had. No less than 5 people trying to serve our table. To this day I don't know who our server was. House salad was warm, uninspired and well oily at best. Pizza came out before my first bite of salad. Ordered the "house special" pie. Sausage was undercooked but crust was burnt. Canolies shells are store bought and filling tastes freezer burned. This is authentic Italian food? Forget about it!!! Take my advice and take a pass on this trainwreck of a pizzaria.

  • Pros: I can't think of any
  • Cons: See comments. Oh, and service was rushed!!!

Tutta Bella serves traditional wood-fired pizzas with more modern-style toppings (prosciutto and arugula, portobellos and spinach) in addition to old standards. The crusts are good but the toppings are always too sparse--much of the pizza is simply crust. They have good gelato, but their tira misu is too heavy on the cream. As for their wines, they're not great for the prices.

Tutta Bella caters to groups, and for large groups (10+) they make things much easier than they might be anywhere else. The atmosphere is warm and open.

Nothing bad to say about this place. NOTHING AT ALL! I especially enjoy being in Columbia City and find that this place makes me feel like i'm in another city.

My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this much hyped pizzeria as we are pizza connoisseur's. We waited for about 35 minuted before landing a table in this incredible busy restaurant. We ordered a ceasar salad, 2 pizzas and a beer. The ceasar was ok, nothing special or memorable that is for sure. Some romaine, mainly stem, ok dressing, a few bits of parm, and some box croutons. The margarite pizza didn't have any cheese on half of the pizza. Seriously. There were several slices that had maybe a penny in size worth of pizza. The other pizza we ordered had goat cheese, eggplant, mushrooms, etc and read good on the menu but was not impressive in the least. Not much in vegetarian choices at this pizza place. The sauce is pretty tangy but the crust was terrible, floppy and undercooked. The bottom was white and soft. Not good. I'm not sure if it was an off night, or what? For an "authentic" neapolitan pizza joint, why do they only have hispanics cooking there? Anyway, save your money and go somewhere else, because this place isnt worth a dime.

  • Pros: Decent water when you get any
  • Cons: uh, the pizza!

My experience is with the Rainier location. The service was not good. Our waitress, in particular, was rude and unhelpful. We were in a semi-large party, and all of us agreed that she not only was condescending to us (and a few time downright RUDE)...but we all felt very unwelcome. The food was ok, the price was good, but the service was horrible. I gave this place 2 stars only because the decor was different /cute (especially for the area, it seems a little shady/ scary at night with the transients hovering about my car). I even wrote a letter the morning after (which I have never been compelled to do in my life) because it was such a horrible experience. Now, almost 2 months later...I have yet to even get a response or apology or any acknowlegement at all of my bad experience. I guess I should have known...they did leave me standing at the door unacknowleded that night too. I have since made a point of telling all of my friends to NOT go back to this place again. There are plenty of italian restaurants that not only serve great food, but make you feel welcome and happy you came.

  • Pros: Decor, unusual, pricing
  • Cons: Service stinks, they don't care if you come back, location/parking, unusual pizza not for everyone
